Key responsibilities for this role include providing clinical assistance, managing patient inquiries, coordinating FMLA documentation, and delivering preoperative education.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Travel between our locations in Bourbonnais, Tinley, and Frankfort is a requirement for this position.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Participates and assists the physician in the provision of medical care, including:</li><li>Taking the patient’s history</li><li>Assessing the patient</li><li>Assisting with examinations, treatments, injections, infusion therapy, etc.</li><li>Preparing equipment and other medical devices, as needed</li><li>Performs ancillary functions such as:</li><li>Gathering and managing necessary documents (e.g. medical record, test results)</li><li>Coordinating physician’s phone calls, as needed</li><li>Modifying/coordinating schedule(s), as needed</li><li>Facilitating/Completing paper work, as needed</li><li>Acting as liaison between the physician and patient</li><li>Assisting in the stocking of clinical supplies within the patient care areas</li><li>Assuring proper operation of equipment and medical devices</li><li>Following up as needed to obtain or repair equipment and medical devices</li><li>Maintains cleanliness of the patient care areas</li><li>Educates patients</li><li>Assists in the education of patients in regards to their condition, physician orders, treatment plans, etc.</li><li>Participates in the Safety Program through education and implementation of practices to facilitate a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.</li><li>Completes other duties and assignments as directed by the Physician and Practice Administrator.</li></ul>",
