The Steward will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and dining areas, while also assisting with various food preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellence in hospitality.</p><p><strong>What You Do:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, pots, china equipment, flatware, and glassware.</li><li>Operate dishwashing machines to clean all wares, ensuring they are thoroughly sanitized.</li><li>Hand wash delicate items as necessary.</li><li>Polish silverware and platters to maintain a high standard of presentation.</li><li>Collect and dispose of trash from kitchen areas, including emptying garbage barrels and relining with new bags.</li><li>Inspect garbage for any misplaced silverware, dishes, or glassware.</li><li>Clean and polish all stainless steel surfaces in the kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, and refrigerators.</li><li>Maintain cleanliness in receiving and trash areas.</li><li>Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.</li><li>Store all dishes and wares in designated areas, following proper storage procedures.</li><li>Clean the dishwashing machine after each meal period to prevent buildup and ensure optimal performance.</li><li>Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, such as putting away deliveries and cleaning coolers and storerooms.</li><li>Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain compliance with health regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring to the Table:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs comfortably.</li><li>Stand and walk for extended periods.</li><li>Bend, stoop, and reach to perform various tasks.</li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li><li>Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li></ul></div></div>\n",
