Your role involves utilizing broadcasting technologies, operating radio studios, and maintaining high-quality standards under pressure. Your creativity and knowledge of the regional Mexican format brand will engage audiences and contribute to the show&#39;s success under the general supervision of the programming department.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>At SBS we are proud to be a hands-on, fast-moving, and always evolving company. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment, has an entrepreneurial mindset, is a great cultural fit, and brings the appropriate structure to ambiguous, often rapidly changing environments.</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><u>Essential duties and responsibilities</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Help produce the top-rated Morning Show (WSUN)</li><li>Undertakes key administrative responsibilities as well as assists in planning and producing live and/or pre-recorded radio shows and feature productions.</li><li>Generates original ideas, identifies suitable ideas from others, and carries out thorough research.</li><li>Produce promos for the morning show.</li><li>Uses various broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software.</li><li>Assists with time-keeping, saving show recordings, archiving show files and post-production editing as directed.</li><li>Work the board for live shows or may board pre-recorded.&nbsp;</li><li>Full knowledge of the law, rules, and industry regulations around radio production; knows when it is necessary, and how to acquire, relevant clearances and licenses.</li><li>Stress tolerance: ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, and to react quickly to changes.</li><li>Knows how to use a variety of recording, production and editing equipment and to operate different radio studios.</li><li>Ability to generate original ideas, and to think creatively about how to communicate them to audiences; has comprehensive knowledge of subjects relevant to the regional Mexican format brand and Morning Show.</li></ul><ul><li>&nbsp;Works under the general supervision of the programming department.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform some on-air work as needed.</li></ul><p><u>Minimum Requirements</u></p><ul><li>Associate degree or its equivalent, with 2-4 years of experience in radio broadcasting production.&nbsp;</li><li>A high degree of creativity and latitude is required.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><u>What you&rsquo;ll bring:</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return.</li><li>Ability to work within prescribed guidelines without needing close supervision.</li><li>Problem solving skills within established procedures.</li><li>Understanding of when to seek guidance for unforeseen problems.</li><li>Close attention to detail.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to act in a professional manner and collaborate with colleagues of different levels.</li></ul><p><u>Why work for SBS?</u></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Spanish Broadcasting Systems (SBS) offers a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the leading Hispanic-focused media company in the industry.
