Our mission is to provide a nurturing, individualized education that supports each student’s cognitive, sensory, and emotional development. Through an integrated, evidence-based curriculum, we meet students where they are—adapting to their developmental levels, sensory processing profiles, and regulatory needs.</p>\n<p>Our interdisciplinary team includes educators, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, behavior specialists, and mental health professionals, all working collaboratively to support each student’s growth. We also partner with public school districts throughout the Bay Area to provide specialized services and consultation.</p>\n<p>Learn more at <a href=\"http://www.thehelixschool.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.thehelixschool.org</a>.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position: Aide</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with head teacher, Counselor, Speech Therapist, Social-Emotional Learning Specialist and/or Occupational Therapist for delivery of special education plans and daily instruction</li>\n<li>Assisting the lead teacher and others on the student’s team in preparing and presenting academic plan</li>\n<li>Provide behavioral support to student when needed</li>\n<li>Under direction of teachers and therapists, collect data as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 2 years of experience working with children (experience in special education strongly preferred).</li>\n<li>Collaborative mindset with the ability to work on an interdisciplinary team.</li>\n<li>Comfort with hands-on, flexible, and student-centered teaching approaches.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Generous 5 weeks of PAID school breaks plus all national holidays.</span></li>\n<li>Medical and dental insurance available for eligible employees.</li>\n<li>403B retirement plan available<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ideal for Those Pursuing Careers in:</span><br>Speech-Language Pathology, Behavior Analysis, Education, Occupational Therapy, or Counseling.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Equal Opportunity Employer</span></p>\n<p>The Helix School is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
