          "text": "<p><strong>The Maintenance Manager is responsible for (but not limited to):</strong></p><ol><li>&#xa0;Directs the development of maintenance strategies consistent with business<br>\nrequirements, objectives, and established financial goals.</li><li>&#xa0;Leads a team of skilled mechanical, electrical, instrument and controls, and<br>\nmaintenance professionals providing 24-hour services for the plant.</li><li>Develops overall maintenance schedules to maintain equipment availability and<br>\ncoordinate planned outages.</li><li>Continually searches out and develops new technical improvements and business<br>\nstrategies for maintenance and reliability excellence.</li><li>Represents a key stakeholder in overseeing plant warehousing and inventory<br>\nmanagement including spare parts and tools inventories.</li><li>Manages the successful implementation utilization of the CMMS system as well as<br>\nthe Asset Management program.</li><li>Works closely with management on site and in conjunction with Operations,<br>\nEngineering, Environmental Health &amp; Safety departments, and senior staff to<br>\ncoordinate daily activities and long term maintenance planning.&#xa0;</li></ol><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ol><li>Maintains plant equipment and infrastructure, collaborating with Operations<br>\nand Engineering to optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency while<br>\nminimizing costs.</li><li>Establishes and manages maintenance schedules, plans (work orders,<br>\nprocedures, cost control), and reports on activities.</li><li>&#xa0;Improves work quality through employee motivation, new technology, process<br>\nrevisions, and directs training and performance evaluations for maintenance<br>\npersonnel.</li><li>&#xa0;Develops and supervises an in-house team, evaluates contract needs,<br>\nprovides instruction, sets work standards, inspects compliance, writes<br>\nspecifications, negotiates contracts, and manages projects.</li><li>Manages operating and capital budgets for the Maintenance Department,<br>\nassisting the Asset Manager with annual budgets and monitoring<br>\nexpenditures for best value.</li><li>Leads safety and environmental programs, ensuring compliance, prioritizing<br>\nemployee safety and plant reliability, and identifying improvement<br>\nopportunities.</li><li>&#xa0;Monitors cross-department functions to improve coordination and ensures<br>\nresponsiveness of the work order system.</li><li>Establishes, directs, and monitors periodic, predictive, and preventive<br>\nmaintenance programs, including plant outages, instrument calibration, and<br>\nlubrication schedules.</li><li>Evaluates productivity and labor requirements, making staffing<br>\nrecommendations and conducting facility inspections.</li><li>Manages plant warehousing, inventory, and spare parts ordering, utilizing<br>\ncontrol systems for budgetary impact, efficiency, and contingency planning.</li><li>Collaborates with senior staff on company policies, procedures, guidelines,<br>\nfinancial controls, and leads company initiatives.</li><li>Performs other related duties as required.</li></ol>",

          "text": "<p><strong>Knowledge, Experience and Required Certifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Possession of a valid Red Seal trade certificate in electrical, millwright, or a<br>\nrelated field, or actively working towards certification.</li><li>A minimum of five years of hands-on or supervisory experience in the<br>\nmaintenance field is required.</li><li>Power Engineering certification or any maintenance-related certification<br>\n(Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) /Certified Maintenance and<br>\nReliability Professional) is considered an asset.</li><li>A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or an Engineering Technology<br>\nDiploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation &amp; Controls is a plus.</li><li>Proficient in the operation and maintenance of thermal power plants,<br>\nespecially Boiler and Steam Turbine systems, with previous experience in<br>\nlarge-scale industrial plant environments being a strong asset.</li><li>&#xa0;Possessing strong leadership and supervisory skills, managing teams in<br>\ndynamic environments, comfortable with both union and non-union labor<br>\nrelations, and experienced in working with trades.</li><li>&#xa0;Proficiency in computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) is<br>\nrequired, along with experience in building and maintaining a computerized<br>\npreventative maintenance management system.</li><li>&#xa0;Proficiency in materials, inventory, and budget management, along with<br>\nproject cost estimating and cost/benefit analysis.</li><li>This role requires a commitment to customer service and workplace<br>\nexcellence, demonstrated by a flexible, detail-oriented, and professional<br>\napproach to problem-solving and conflict resolution, an entrepreneurial<br>\nmindset for process improvement and equipment reliability, and the ability to<br>\nwork both independently and collaboratively within a team.</li><li>Proficiency in computer skills, including database management,<br>\nspreadsheets, email, and word processing software, is essential. Familiarity<br>\nwith Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating systems is preferred.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><p><u>Physical Requirements</u></p><ul><li>Must be able to work, occasionally for prolonged periods, in extremes of hot and cold temperatures and inclement weather conditions.&#xa0;</li><li>Must be able to tolerate dust and other airborne particles and work around cleaning products and other materials such as biomass, diesel and lube oils. Under certain conditions while working in the plant, may be required to wear a respirator.</li><li>Required to wear safety equipment and clothing where appropriate.</li><li>Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and high-lifts, and in confined spaces.</li></ul><p><u>Travel Requirements</u></p><p>Periodic travel to the other sites may be required.</p><p><u>Emergency Status Designation</u></p><p>Critical - Must be able to serve rotational 24 hour emergency on-call if required by site.</p><p><u>Working Hours</u></p><p>Permanant position, offered on a full time basis, with a schedule from Monday to Friday.&#xa0;</p><p>The plant operates 24/7, and the selected candidate must be available to work evenings and weekends if required to meet operational needs or for emergency shutdown projects.</p><p><strong>Salary Range:</strong></p><p>$120,000-$150,000</p>",
