Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, this role provides hands-on leadership to laboratory staff, ensures strict regulatory compliance, and supports advanced LC/MS/MS method troubleshooting, and continuous assay development.</p>\n<p>The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership abilities and a commitment to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibility:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Leadership &amp; Team Development</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Supervise, mentor, and develop toxicology laboratory staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Conduct competency assessments and performance evaluations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Laboratory Operations &amp; Compliance</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, ISO, and internal quality standards</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Maintain bench proficiency and support high-throughput testing as needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Enforce laboratory policies, procedures, and safety protocols</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Quality &amp; Performance Management</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Monitor and report productivity metrics, quality indicators, and turnaround times</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Lead quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) activities, including audits and corrective actions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure inspection readiness and accurate, complete documentation</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Expertise &amp; Continuous Improvement</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Troubleshoot LC/MS/MS assays, including peak integration, retention time adjustments, batch analysis and certification.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support assay validation, method development, and process improvement initiatives</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and validation documentation</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Laboratory Resources &amp; Systems</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Manage inventory, reagent utilization, and instrument maintenance/calibration</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Utilize LIMS for data management and workflow optimization</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field required</span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">MLS/ML or ASCP certification strongly preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 2 years of experience in a CLIA-certified toxicology laboratory</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Hands-on experience with LC/MS/MS in biological matrices, including troubleshooting</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and/or ISO standards</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Position Details: (<em>hours, locations, commute) </em></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Burnsville, MN<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span> Full-time | Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM (hours may vary)<br></li>\n<li>Full-time position with occasional after-hours or weekend availability</li>\n<li>On-site role in Burnsville, MN (no routine travel required)</li>\n<li>Physical requirements include standing, sitting, lifting, and repetitive fine motor tasks</li>\n<li>Must have adequate visual acuity for laboratory work</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">FLSA Status: </span>Exempt</p>",
