Description We’re looking for a Manager of Physician Compensation, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will lead the Physician Compensation team to meet the organization's needs. To manage operations and administration of the compensation strategies, philosophies and goals of Texas Children's including compensation models for physicians. To provide guidance to the design of competitive compensation programs, organizational structure, job design/evaluation, and salary administration. To manage challenging, complex compensation and productivity related projects, a variety of variable pay program designs and documentation and administration of legally compliant and market driven pay structures that rewards exceptional performance. Job Duties & Responsibilities • Manages team members and team activities by establishing guidelines for individual and team performance to ensure desired outcomes and to meet department and organization goals. Maintains responsibility for completion of work within the team holds other team members accountable for accomplishing job responsibilities. Measures customer satisfaction and provides other metrics to benchmark and analyze team performance. • Provides leadership to Analyst(s) responsible for the physician compensation functions. Manages work pertaining to the Physician Compensation Subcommittee, Physician Compensation Executive Committee, the annual PSO budget, physician compensation communications, payroll issues, and routine and non-routine compensation issues. Establishes processes and procedures for the administration of the compensation function to achieve organizational objectives and drive an equitable, competitive position in the marketplace. • In conjunction with the Director, this role will ensure compensation plans balance productivity with non-productivity value metrics with fair market value standards and furthers Texas Children’s strategic plan. Responsible for the documentation all provider compensation plans and procedures, and ensuring compensation is within the approved provider compensation philosophy. Works with legal, operational stakeholders, and external consultants to ensure provider compensation is compliant with all state and federal regulatory requirements. • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with other Managers on the Total Rewards team, as well as other leaders within the Human Resources department, to ensure alignment of goals and objectives, coordination of services, and effective teamwork. Proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to ensure appropriate awareness of and support for process change/improvement and strategic initiatives. Skills & Requirements • Required bachelor's degree in human resources administration, Business Administration, or related discipline • Preferred CP - Compensation Professional certification • Required 5 years' Experience in compensation, benefits or finance and 2 years' experience in project management and/or formal team leadership Company Since 1954, Texas Children’s has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
