    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"> Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities and Operations the position will provide general maintenance support to campus buildings and facilities.<br>&nbsp;<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em>Dodge City Community College is committed to a policy of non-discrimination in hiring and employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, military status, ancestry or national origin.</em></span></p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions/Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>To understand and commit to the Mission of the College ~&nbsp;Dodge City Community College provides a student-centered learning environment where students can achieve their educational, personal, and career goals.</li><li>Ability to perform a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting tasks; repairs and treats structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, roofs, and carpets; performs minor troubleshooting, repairs, reports mechanical malfunctions to appropriate party for action; moves and assists in moving of furniture and equipment; exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person; and maintains clean, safe, and orderly work areas.</li><li>Perform general repairs to &shy;&shy;&shy;&shy;&shy;campus buildings</li><li>Assist with removal of snow and ice on sidewalks, drives, and parking lots</li><li>Assist with construction projects as needed</li><li>Perform sheet rock repairs and wall painting as assigned</li><li>Assist with the relocation of college records and property&nbsp;</li><li>Perform or assist in repairs and maintenance of all campus equipment when assigned</li><li>Assist in promoting the safety, health and comforts of students and employees&nbsp;</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance &amp; Operations Supervisor</li><li>Responsible for conformance with the policies as established by the College&#39;s Board of Trustees and the procedures that apply to the position</li></ul><p><em>The above job description supersedes all previous descriptions. &nbsp;This description is intended to be a tool to describe the primary purpose of the job and the Essential Functions and Responsibilities. &nbsp; The job description may not be inclusive of all duties and job responsibilities. &nbsp;Administration has the right to add to or change the job responsibilities to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods at any time.</em></p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prior carpenter/maintenance experience.</li><li>Valid Kansas driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Operate utility vehicles, tractors, tractors, and fork lift.</li><li>Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Preferred Qualifications</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Prior maintenance experience in a commercial setting.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>None</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong><strong>:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;With or without assistance</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift and carry 25-45 lb. loads over 50 yd. multiple times in a 4 hr. period.</li><li>Ability to work on feet (standing, walking, constant movement) for 4 hr. period.</li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, climb, crawl, and lift objects for a 4 hr. period.</li><li>Ability to lift 45 lb. objects over head up to 7 ft. high.</li><li>Ability to operate or learn to operate heavy equipment and machinery.</li><li>Ability to work in adverse weather conditions for 4 hr, periods.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly with other employees.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Building Assignment</u></strong></p><ul><li>Maintenance</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
