    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Markon is seeking an experienced and motivated engineering professional to serve as a Project Manager Level 2 supporting design-focused initiatives within the Engineering Architecture Division (EAD), part of the Engineering and Construction Division (ECD) at Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). This role is based at the Pentagon and supports a wide portfolio of engineering and infrastructure design projects.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Provide engineering design expertise, including application of governing building codes and use of technical software, in support of:</li>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Engineering studies and facilities condition assessments</li>\n    <li>Engineering problem solving</li>\n    <li>Development of cost-effective alternative solutions</li>\n    <li>Preparation of technical specifications</li>\n   </ul>\n   <li>Support projects involving:</li>\n   <ul>\n    <li>New construction</li>\n    <li>Refurbishment of existing infrastructure</li>\n    <li>Structural repairs</li>\n    <li>Renovation of built-out spaces</li>\n    <li>Energy conservation initiatives</li>\n   </ul>\n   <li>Contribute to construction efforts across a wide range of facilities and systems, including:</li>\n   <ul>\n    <li>Commercial (office, retail, food handling)</li>\n    <li>Industrial heating and cooling plants</li>\n    <li>Office building systems and controls</li>\n    <li>Horizontal infrastructure (roads, bridges, parking lots)</li>\n    <li>Service-level utilities (power, water, sewer)</li>\n    <li>Building distribution systems, environmental systems, and hydraulic drainage</li>\n   </ul>\n   <li>Produce high-quality technical documentation, conceptual renderings, and visual presentations to support leadership decision-making and Request for Proposal (RFP) development</li>\n   <li>Review and provide comments on documents, plans, and specifications prepared by the Designer of Record (DOR)</li>\n   <li>Perform work both on-site in an office setting (technical documentation) and in the field (evaluation of existing infrastructure conditions)</li>\n   <li>Work independently with minimal supervision while engaging with project stakeholders and collaborating effectively within a diverse team environment</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>US citizen with the ability to maintain a Public Trust Clearance</li>\n <li>Bachelor of Science (BS) in an Engineering discipline, Electrical, Structural, Mechanical, Transportation, or Hydraulic Engineering</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in engineering/construction</li>\n <li>Experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong analytical and engineering problem-solving abilities</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to deliver effective customer and client service</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design experience supporting engineering or construction projects</li>\n <li>Prior experience working within the Pentagon</li>\n <li>Professional registration (EIT or Professional Engineer)</li>\n <li>Proficiency with engineering and design tools, including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>CAD and BIM software (e.g., Autodesk BIM 360, Revit)</li>\n  <li>SpecsIntact, GIS, visual rendering tools, and Adobe Photoshop</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies</li>\n <li>Knowledge of DoD standards, including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)</li>\n <li>Experience supporting Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $110,000.00 - USD $117,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
