They manage medication inventory across patient care areas, maintain automated dispensing systems, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Certified Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in patient safety by verifying orders, preventing errors, and ensuring timely delivery of critical medications. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shifts Available:</strong> Days</p>\n<p><strong>Employment Type:</strong> Per Diem </p>\n<p><strong>Hours:</strong> 8:00am - 4:30pm </p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> Dallas Medical Center – Farmers Branch, TX</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:</em></strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical insurance benefit plan </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>401K  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare and dispense medications including unit-dose, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and operate automated dispensing cabinets </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Manage inventory across nursing units, crash carts, and automated systems while handling controlled substances and monitoring expirations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Enter and verify medication orders in hospital EMR systems to ensure accuracy of dosage, form, route, and frequency </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Support patient safety by checking labels, assisting with medication reconciliation, delivering medications, and preparing drugs for specialized populations </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Comply with USP standards, maintain regulatory documentation, and take on specialized roles such as IV compounding, clinical support, or lead technician duties </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:  </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>1. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred</p>\n<p>2. State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)</p>\n<p>3. High school diploma or equivalent</p>\n<p>4.
