We provide engineering, program management, and construction support services for public infrastructure and institutional clients across the state.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview</span></span><br>We are seeking a Construction Manager to support the Louisiana Division of Administration – Facility Planning &amp; Control (FP&amp;C) projects. This role functions in an owner’s representative capacity and is responsible for oversight, coordination, and support of construction activities across multiple projects. You will report directly to the DOA/FP&amp;C Project Manager assigned to the respective region of the State, managing multiple concurrent projects across the area.</p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Construction Oversight &amp; Field Coordination\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements</li>\n<li>Perform and document field observations and site visits</li>\n<li>Identify and communicate issues impacting cost, schedule, or quality</li>\n<li>Participate in construction meetings</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Project Coordination &amp; Communication\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate between FP&amp;C, designers, contractors, and stakeholders</li>\n<li>Facilitate responses to RFIs and submittals</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Contract &amp; Document Management\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in initiating contracts and amendments</li>\n<li>Review construction documents for completeness and constructability</li>\n<li>Support change orders, pay applications, and contract modifications</li>\n<li>Maintain project records and documentation</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Schedule &amp; Cost Monitoring\n<ul>\n<li>Review baseline schedules and track critical path</li>\n<li>Monitor progress and identify delays</li>\n<li>Support contractor performance evaluation</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Project Closeout\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with closeout documentation and punch lists</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with FP&amp;C requirements</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></span></p>\n<p><br>Minimum</p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of experience with a degree in engineering or construction management, or 10+ years without</li>\n<li>Experience with public infrastructure construction</li>\n<li>Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scheduling</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preferred<br>• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management<br>• Experience with state or public agency programs<br>• Experience with contract administration</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Competencies</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently</li>\n<li>Attention to detail</li>\n<li>Problem-solving mindset</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Environment &amp; Travel</span></span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This role is primarily based in the Shreveport area.</span> Work is performed predominantly out in the field at active project job sites, with some time spent at the local FP&amp;C office as needed. Because you will be managing multiple projects simultaneously, travel is required and will vary depending on project locations and phases.
