    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Under the supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Physician, prepares, calibrates, logs, and administers radioactive isotopes to patients undergoing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures. Operates Gamma Camera imaging equipment, computers, and other isotope sensitive equipment to obtain a visual representation or measurement or isotope concentrations in specific body areas/organs.</li>\n <li>This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating pediatric through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support San Gabriel Valley Medical Center’s strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>·         Obtains necessary training prior to initial equipment use.</p>\n<p>·         Assures equipment is in operating order prior to use.</p>\n<p>·         Uses the following equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s operating instructions. Including, but not limited to:</p>\n<p>·         Gamma Cameras</p>\n<p>·         Isotopes calibrators</p>\n<p>·         Well counter</p>\n<p>·         Radiation survey meters</p>\n<p>·         Nuclear computer system</p>\n<p>·         Portable lead storage modules</p>\n<p>·         EKG monitors</p>\n<p>·         Coronary defibrillators</p>\n<p>·         Patient safety measures.</p>\n<p>·         Preparation of radioactive isotopes.</p>\n<p>·         Administration of radioactive isotopes.</p>\n<p>·         Monitoring, calibration, and wipe tests.</p>\n<p>·         Spinal taps (Assist physician).</p>\n<p>·         Radioactive iodine therapy (Assist physician).</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education/Training/Experience</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>High school graduate or equivalent.  Associates degree preferred.</p>\n<p>Graduate of an accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology</p>\n<p>Prior experience preferred</p>\n<p>Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Licenses/Certifications:  </strong></p>\n<p>Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Certification or ARRT Certification</p>\n<p>Current BCLS-C Card</p>\n<p>Current CRT through CDPH</p>\n<p>Current Fluoroscopy Permit</p>\n<p>Current Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through CDPH</p>",
