Must be adaptable to performing under stress when confronted with emergency situations or tight deadlines. \\n\\tAbility to maintain positive customer-focused relationships with co-workers, supervisors, agencies, the general public, and all other internal and external customers.&nbsp; Personally demonstrates appropriate customer service skills.\\n\\tWork is performed onsite.&nbsp; The incumbent must be present at work to perform the essential functions of this job.\\n\\n\\nEssential Job Functions:\\n\\n\\n\\tEnsures compliance with division&#39;s policies and procedures, standards of quality and safety, and all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. \\n\\tAssists in ensuring all treatment at the plant is in accordance with all EPA and SCDHEC regulations with no violations. \\n\\tAttends all required training and acquires CEUs to maintain Biological Wastewater Operator License.\\n\\tFollows correct departmental procedures and makes good decisions.&nbsp; Trains and provides guidance to others on proper procedures.&nbsp; \\n\\tMakes adjustments to biological, chemical and/or physical processes to ensure plant is operating properly. \\n\\tResponds to emergency facility/field situations as required. \\n\\tGuides and assists others during emergency situations. \\n\\tTroubleshoots the plant when there is an operational issue and gives guidance on corrective action to return plant back to normal operations. \\n\\tWorks as a liaison between Preventive Maintenance Contractors and shift operator to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations.\\n\\tParticipates in meetings with consultants, contractors, representatives from local and state regulatory agencies as required.&nbsp;This includes participation in regulatory inspections at the plant. \\n\\tParticipates in the administration of the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Team as a team lead.\\n\\tPerforms all other duties as may be assigned to meet organizational needs.\\n\\n\\nAdditional Duties:\\n\\n\\n\\tPerforms special studies to test new techniques and/or new chemicals for improved water quality results. \\n\\tOversees and provides guidance during unusual operations such as maintenance or construction shutdowns or major equipment repairs/instillations.\\n\\tCoordinates and presents monthly safety meetings.\\n\\tPerforms related work as assigned.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nThis Notice is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties, knowledge, skills and abilities required to do the job.
