This role serves as one of the first points of contact for individuals seeking treatment for substance use and mental health challenges. The Admission Counselor completes assessments, coordinates admissions, facilitates groups, obtains insurance authorizations, and helps ensure clients are connected to the appropriate level of care. The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and able to think critically while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Schedule</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time, 40 hours per week</li>\n<li>Primarily Monday through Friday daytime hours</li>\n<li>Participation in a rotating Saturday group schedule</li>\n<li>Participation in an on-call rotation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Admissions &amp; Assessments</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Respond to referral and service calls with professionalism and compassion</li>\n<li>Complete administrative intakes and admission paperwork</li>\n<li>Conduct ASAM assessments and other required screenings</li>\n<li>Recommend appropriate levels of care based on assessment findings</li>\n<li>Coordinate treatment admissions and client placement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Documentation &amp; Compliance</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation</li>\n<li>Ensure admission requirements are completed according to DHS, organizational, and insurance standards</li>\n<li>Gather and organize information needed to support admissions and treatment recommendations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Group Facilitation</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate group sessions as assigned</li>\n<li>Assist with treatment group scheduling</li>\n<li>Coordinate and maintain the rotating Saturday group schedule</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Communication &amp; Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate assessment findings and admission information with treatment teams</li>\n<li>Collaborate with residential, outpatient, billing, and administrative staff</li>\n<li>Serve as a liaison between clients, families, referral sources, and Arbor Place programs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Insurance Authorization</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the billing department to obtain insurance authorizations</li>\n<li>Assist with Medicaid and commercial insurance requirements</li>\n<li>Ensure documentation supports authorization requests</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC, or other qualifying Wisconsin substance use credential required</li>\n<li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field</li>\n<li>Experience completing assessments, intakes, or working within a substance use treatment setting preferred</li>\n<li>Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities</li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries</li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems</li>\n<li>Valid driver's license</li>\n<li>Ability to pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Full-Time Benefits</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance</li>\n<li>Employer-paid life insurance</li>\n<li>Employer-paid long-term disability insurance</li>\n<li>401(k) with employer matching contributions</li>\n<li>Generous paid time off</li>\n<li>Qualifying employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility</li>\n<li>Voluntary AFLAC benefits</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">Why Arbor Place?</span></p>\n<p>At Arbor Place, we believe recovery is possible.
