Ryder pays unlimited referral bonuses for hired drivers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 21 years of age</li>\n <li>Pass a Ryder Drug Test</li>\n <li>Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years</li>\n <li>Pass a DOT physical</li>\n <li>Pass a Ryder road test</li>\n <li>Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position</li>\n <li>Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>9 months experience within the past 3 years, <strong>OR</strong></li>\n  <li>2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, <strong>OR</strong></li>\n  <li>5 years’ experience within the last 10 years</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions</li>\n <li>Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This position is primarily responsible for safely handling and maneuvering tractor trailers on the yard and within an area on public roads</li>\n <li>The position requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <strong>Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines</li>\n <li>Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards</li>\n <li>Maintaining accurate records and logs</li>\n <li>Maintaining accurate move and yard inventory records Other tasks as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em><em>Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
