If you aspire to be the best, and work with the best, this is where you belong.</p>\n<h2>About the Role</h2>\n<p>The Innovation Attorney – Legal Technology is an integral part of Latham’s Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for acting as product owner for assigned legal technology platforms, with end‑to‑end accountability across discovery, piloting, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization, while defining and owning product vision, roadmap, and success metrics aligned with firm strategy, attorney needs, and operational priorities. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities & Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Other key responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Translating practice group and legal operations requirements into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritization decisions</li>\n <li>Serving as the primary decision‑maker on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs throughout the product lifecycle, balancing user needs, technical feasibility, vendor capabilities, and strategic value</li>\n <li>Defining, tracking, and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs), adoption metrics, and value realization to guide iteration and investment decisions</li>\n <li>Leading horizon‑scanning efforts to identify and assess emerging legal and adjacent technologies while maintaining awareness of the legal technology vendor landscape</li>\n <li>Owning and coordinating pilot programs and proof‑of‑concept initiatives, including defining success criteria, drafting requirements, evaluating solutions, and managing testing and feedback</li>\n <li>Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains </li>\n</ul>\n<p>We’d love to hear from you if you:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess expertise in horizon scanning and market intelligence, with a strong understanding of legal technology categories and adjacent emerging technologies</li>\n <li>Demonstrate strong product management capabilities, including user personas, user stories, scoping, requirements documentation, roadmap planning, and user testing</li>\n <li>Exhibit advanced strategic project management skills, including business case development, financial analysis, and return on investment (ROI) modelling</li>\n</ul>\n<p>And have:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in law, business, information systems, or a related field, preferably</li>\n <li>A Juris Doctor (J.D.)</li>\n <li>A minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting legal technology and innovation</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits & Additional Information</h2>\n<p>Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
