    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a talented Pipefitter supporting construction operations within a local Naval facility.</p><p>SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 150 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.</p><p>The Pipefitter <strong><em>must</em></strong> have a Journeyman Pipefitter card.</p><p>The pay for this position is <strong>$40.00</strong> per hour. The benefits are 11 paid federal holidays per year, 56 hours of annual accrued Sick Leave (equivalent to 7 paid days off), and medical, health, dental, and life insurance bundle.</p><p>Hours for the position will be Monday-Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities will include:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair high-pressure piping systems, including steam, gas, oil, water, and vacuum systems.</li><li>Lay out, cut, bend, assemble, and install piping, fittings, and related equipment for new construction and system retrofits.</li><li>Repair and replace system components including pressure-reducing valves, control valves, traps, radiators, circulating pumps, expansion joints, and heat exchangers.</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair heating system components such as boilers, exchangers, expansion tanks, coils, ovens, cookers, and steam sterilization equipment.</li><li>Install and service high-pressure distribution systems, including natural gas, compressed air, nitrogen, propane, and oxygen lines.</li><li>Install and repair fire protection systems including hydrants, sprinklers, and associated valves.</li><li>Perform installation and maintenance of sewer systems, lift stations, backwater valves, and perform minor sewage line repairs.</li><li>Maintain and repair hydraulic systems and associated components.</li><li>Perform seasonal startup, shutdown, and charging of central heating and cooling distribution systems.</li><li>Install, route, and secure piping systems, ensuring proper alignment, pitch, slope, and operational integrity.</li><li>Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine system layout, routing, and installation requirements.</li><li>Install equipment by completing system connections, positioning, securing, and performing operational testing.</li><li>Perform welding, brazing, and pipe fitting using appropriate tools and techniques.</li><li>Select and apply appropriate gasket materials based on system type and operating conditions.</li><li>Utilize hand and power tools including pipe threaders, cutters, grinders, micrometers, and measuring devices.</li><li>Work independently to complete installations, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.</li><li>Assist in related mechanical trades and support multidisciplinary maintenance activities.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>In accordance with federal regulations, possession of a valid <strong>Real ID is a requirement</strong> for this position.</li><li>Journeyman Pipefitter card <strong><em>required.</em></strong></li><li>OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification required (may be obtained prior to starting work).</li><li>Proven experience with commercial and industrial plumbing and high-pressure piping systems.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of steam systems, vacuum systems, and high-temperature/high-pressure applications.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to install, assemble, troubleshoot, and repair complex piping systems and components.</li><li>Proficient in the use of plumbing and pipefitting tools, including augers, pressure gauges, leak detectors, threaders, and cutting equipment.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.</li><li>Knowledge of backflow prevention systems and practices.</li><li>Skilled in working with valves, regulators, and pressure control devices.</li><li>Ability to perform preventive maintenance and follow safety procedures in industrial environments.</li><li>Capable of working in confined spaces and around operating mechanical equipment such as pumps and compressors.</li><li>Physically able to perform demanding labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs unassisted and more with assistance.</li><li>Ability to work in harsh environments including high heat, noise, chemicals, grease, and fumes.</li><li>Capable of prolonged standing, walking, climbing, bending, and crouching.</li><li>Must have required medical clearances/immunizations for working in sewage-related environments (e.g., manholes, lift stations).</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain high workmanship standards.</li><li>Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation;
