Monitor and measure grade elevations using leveling instruments and tools to ensure accuracy. Communicate effectively with the crew and site supervisors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or necessary repairs. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Hillman (Chuleador) or similar role in the construction industry. Minimum 1-year related experience. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes. Proficient in using leveling instruments and tools for grade measurement. Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors. Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, standing, and operating equipment for extended periods. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently. Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety. Ability to interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly. Valid Driver license. OSHA 30 preferred (but not required). Ability to set up & use effectively, site level, grade laser, pipe laser and straight-line level. Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instruction and communicate effectively. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals to compute rate, ration, percent. Reasoning Ability: Requires independent judgement and conscious thinking.
