Description

About the Company Red Stag Fulfillment is a logistics and fulfillment organization built to enable companies to grow and scale their businesses. Headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, Red Stag was born out of eCommerce with one mission: to enable our clients to grow their business by redefining the 3PL experience for both clients and employees. By leveraging technology to ensure accurate, reliable, secure, and fast shipping, we have quickly established ourselves as a world-class fulfillment and logistics company. At Red Stag Fulfillment, we understand our team members are our most important asset. We have grown into one of America’s best order fulfillment companies by building a team of people who are eager to be a part of our growth. To make this happen, our team members show up and give their all every day. Our core values are of paramount importance and inform and guide all our decisions. Here at Red Stag: We act like we own it. We sweat the small stuff. We have positive attitudes. We treat everyone with dignity and respect. We always seek to improve. About You You are the one we are looking for if: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, where business needs are constantly changing. You live to serve, and you love seeing the teams you lead win. You sweat the small stuff and have a keen eye for detail. Your idea of fun is anticipating problems and ensuring they never become issues at all. You can fight fires, but you live for fire prevention and staying at the head of a fast-moving train. You have a proven record of training and maintaining uncompromising safety standards. You are a self-starter and are often described as a “go-getter.” You are an expert in setting crystal-clear expectations, coaching and training to maintain those expectations, and holding people accountable. You can get up to speed quickly and do whatever it takes to get the job done. If you are more comfortable with someone directing your day-to-day activity — i.e., telling you exactly what to do — then this is not the position for you. But, if you like the idea of diving right in, getting stuff done, and actively growing in new areas, then this might be your perfect fit. If you’re up for the challenge, we want to hear from you! Overview The Core mission of the Director of Facilities, Safety, and Security is to lead, manage, and oversee enterprise aspects of facilities operations, safety, and security within our warehouse environment. This key leadership position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the facility, implementing safety programs, and safeguarding the security of both people and assets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities management, workplace safety, and security operations, with an ability to work cross-functionally and make data-driven decisions. Responsibilities Facilities Management: Manage maintenance schedules, including routine inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance and improvements to equipment across the enterprise. Develop and implement plans for the efficient use of space, utilities, and equipment to optimize warehouse performance. Lead and manage capital expenditures. Safety Management: Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, including the administration and maintenance of our workers compensation process. Conduct regular safety audits, identify hazards, and take corrective actions to mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to safety. Develop safety training programs, including onboarding for new hires and ongoing education for existing employees. Support workplace incidents, conducting investigations and reporting findings to senior leadership. Coordinate with external safety organizations and regulators to ensure all safety standards and certifications are met. Security Management: Oversee the security of the warehouse and its assets, including surveillance systems, access control, and physical security measures. Develop and implement security protocols to protect both personnel and property. Lead the development and implementation of emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness for natural disasters, fires, and other emergencies. Work closely with law enforcement and security vendors to resolve any security-related issues. Monitor and manage security budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions for safeguarding the facility. Resource Management: Manage and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to facilities maintenance, safety incidents, and security metrics. Collaborate with senior leadership to align facilities, safety, and security objectives with broader company goals. Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency improvements without compromising safety or security. Ensure the proper allocation of resources for maintenance, safety equipment, and security systems. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in facilities management, safety, and security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a warehouse or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and security protocols in a warehouse environment. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficient in facilities management software, safety management systems, and security technologies. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Certifications: OSHA Certification 7005/7100/7105/7500 (preferred), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) (preferred). Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of being in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Must be able to work on the warehouse floor when needed including continuous time moving, regular transportation of freight up to 50 pounds (with team lifting heavier items), reaching, bending, carrying, etc. Constantly works in an environment where the temperature matches that of the outside temperature.
