    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b><u>Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities</u></b></p>\n<p>• Define and drive the OCS technology and product roadmap<br>\n  • Lead system-level design of large-scale optical fabrics<br>\n  • Build and lead a multi-disciplinary engineering organization in different countries and different locations&nbsp;<br>\n  • Deliver OCS platforms from concept through prototype, qualification, and high-volume production<br>\n  • Engage with hyperscale customers and ecosystem partners<br>\n  • Ensure manufacturing scalability and operational excellence</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>Skills</u></b></p>\n<p><b>Engineering Execution</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Build and lead a world-class, multi-disciplinary engineering organization across:&nbsp; \n  <ul>\n   <li>Photonics / optical design&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>ASIC / control electronics&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>Firmware and system software&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>Mechanical and packaging engineering&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Customer &amp; Ecosystem Engagement</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as the primary technical executive interface to hyperscale customers (e.g., cloud and AI infrastructure providers).&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Translate system-level requirements (e.g., topology, bandwidth scaling, reconfiguration time) into product specifications.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with partners across the ecosystem (optics, fiber, packaging, and system vendors).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Innovation &amp; Differentiation</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Drive innovation in:&nbsp; \n  <ul>\n   <li>High-radix and high density OCS architectures&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>Low-loss optical paths and packaging&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>Fast and scalable switching control planes&nbsp;</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Build and manage IP strategy and patent portfolio in optical switching technologies</li>\n <li>Establish best practices in design for manufacturability (DFM), test, and reliability engineering</li>\n <li>Foster a culture of innovation and execution</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>PhD preferred, or MS with 15+ years of highly technical experience, including optical, networking, transceivers, firmware, software.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>Physical Requirements</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li><b>Minimal physical activity</b>: There is little to no need for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, or manual labor.</li>\n <li><b>Computer use</b>: Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse for communication, project management, and collaboration tools.</li>\n <li><b>Travel</b>: Some travel may be required for client meetings, conferences, or site visits, but this is not a core part of the job.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><b><u>Safety Requirements</u></b></p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
