    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\">Job Description (ASM0624)</p><p>Job Title: Assistant Store Manager</p><p>Department: TrailersPlus Lot &amp; Sales Operations</p><p>Reports To: Store Manager</p><p>Status: Hourly plus commissions and bonuses</p><p><br></p><p>SUMMARY</p><p>This Assistant Store Manager (ASM) will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our retail operations, including managing</p><p>operations, sales, inventory, customer service, staff, service, and repair work. Primary responsibility will be assisting the Store</p><p>Manager (SM) in daily operations, sales, generating revenue for the location, and running the store in the Store Manager&rsquo;s</p><p>absence.</p><p><br></p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:</p><p>● Supporting Store Manager in achieving store revenue goals and assisting in managing sales and service staff.</p><p>● Implement and enforce all aspects of &ldquo;Employee Handbook&rdquo;.</p><p>● Meet all deadlines for daily, weekly, bi-monthly, monthly, and annually reports.</p><p>● Manage and perform all daily processes that include trailer inspections, trailer sales, parts sales, service work,</p><p>inventory control, parts purchases, vendor relations, special orders, and pricing.</p><p>● Verify and perform proper invoicing of all trailers, parts, and labor.</p><p>● Ensure that all required paperwork associated with each sale is submitted to the appropriate state agencies and</p><p>Interstate Group departments, accurately and in a timely manner.</p><p>● Ensure a respectful, safe and productive workplace through your effective hiring, onboarding, training, counseling,</p><p>accountability and other performance management support for all service and parts staff you supervise. Address poor</p><p>performance or behavior diligently and fairly.</p><p>● Ensure that all policies and procedures related to managing the facility&rsquo;s keys are fully executed and enforced.</p><p>● Work strategically and collaboratively with other departments of the company.</p><p>● ASM will back up the SM and their responsibilities in the SM absence. (see SM job description)</p><p>● Maintain time cards, ensure they are up-to-date with start and end times as well as appropriate breaks are scheduled.</p><p>● Ensure the store facility and grounds are maintained by cleaning and organizing the building, shop, and trailers, in</p><p>order to promote safety, security, and a professional appearance.</p><p>● Attend and participate in all required team and company meetings.</p><p>● Obtain state and city vehicle sales licenses, where required by law.</p><p>● Ensure that all policies and procedures related to managing the facility&rsquo;s keys are fully executed and enforced.</p><p>● Performs other duties as assigned.</p><p>● Responsible for generating leads in the local market.</p><p>● Ability to operate forklift and tractor. (Company certification required)</p><p>● Ability to operate power tools and welding equipment. In the absence of the Store Manager,</p><p>the ASM will be responsible to plan and promote the daily schedule, coordinate and manage the performance of employees</p><p>including development and accountability.</p><p><br></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements</p><p>listed in the essential duties and responsibilities section are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.</p><p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p><p>The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as six months to one year of related experience and/or</p><p>training.</p><p><br></p><p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p><p>Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure</p><p>manuals. Also important is the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively with customers or</p><p>employees. Spoken fluency in Spanish is a plus.</p><p><br></p><p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p><p>Requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area,</p><p>circumference, and volume. The ASM must also be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as needed.</p><p><br></p><p>COMPUTER SKILLS</p><p>Knowledge of on-line computer systems is required for successful completion of the ASM job responsibilities and assignments.</p><p>Basic keyboarding skills are also needed for efficiency.</p><p><br></p><p>REASONING ABILITY</p><p>Must be able to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited</p><p>standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral,</p><p>diagram, or schedule form.</p><p><br></p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the</p><p>essential functions of this job.</p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
