Emerald Youth has engaged more than 30,000 children and young adults in a variety of community programs over nearly three decades. Every year, Emerald Youth serves more than 3,000 children, teens and young adults in the heart of Knoxville through faith, learning and health programs.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">JOB SUMMARY:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Drivers will use Emerald Youth Foundation vehicles primarily for afterschool pick-ups, summer day camp transportation, and/or transportation to and from sporting events as part of Emerald Youth's different youth ministries.</span> Position could also include extended field trips and other trips as needed. Position ensures passenger safety, reports issues, and is responsible for awareness of routes and general vehicle upkeep. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">Schedule/Pay</span></span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Typically, Monday through Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. during the school year. Hours might be extended on some days periodically due to the type of trip needed</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Typically, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. during the summer months. Available weekend hours would vary.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Additional hours with sports may be available from time-to-time.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Pay is $20/hour for driving time, $12/hour for sitting time too. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Drive regular routes on a schedule.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Aware of routes, traffic patterns, and adherence to traffic laws. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Manage passengers to ensure safety. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Answer questions about schedules, routes, and transfer points.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Report accidents or other traffic disruptions to supervisor and follow directions when using an alternate route.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Assist those passengers with disabilities or requiring assistance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Check the bus tires, lights, and oil and do other basic maintenance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Follow state and federal transit regulations.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"color: #222222;\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation; connected to a church community; possesses a strong reputation for honesty, integrity, and high moral standards. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">At least 21 years of age with clear driving record.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Must have current CDL with P-endorsement. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Three or more years’ experience driving a route</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Willingness to work extended field trips, overnight events, and weekend trips multiple times throughout the year</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Experience in an urban setting ideal</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ministry experience preferred</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Excellent communication skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999; font-size: 10px;\"><em>It is the policy of Emerald Youth Foundation to provide employment opportunities to all people </em><em>without regard to race, color, sex, age, or national origin.</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999; font-size: 10px;\"><em>Section 702 of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that the religious discrimination law will not apply to a religious corporation, association, educational institution or society with respect to the employment of individuals of a particular religion to perform work connected with the carrying on by such a corporation, association, educational institution or society of its activities.</em></span></p>",
