Recognized as a 2024 NE Ohio Top Workplace by Energage, Euclid Chemical prides itself on fostering a people-first culture that values collaboration, respect, and growth.</strong></p><p><strong>The Euclid Chemical Company </strong>is now hiring an experienced&nbsp;<strong>Maintenance Technician</strong>&nbsp;to join our team in&nbsp;Cleveland,&nbsp;OH &nbsp;This position is <span>primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to ensure the ongoing reliability, safety, and performance of plant equipment. In addition to scheduled PMs, this role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems as needed to minimize unplanned downtime. Technicians will also assist with equipment installations, fabrication, and continuous improvement efforts.</span></p><p><u>Responsibilities and Duties:</u></p><ul><li><span>Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and improve equipment life</span></li><li><span>Weld and fabricate components for equipment repair or modification as needed</span></li><li><span>Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild a wide variety of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment</span></li><li><span>Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using meters, schematics, and other test equipment</span></li><li><span>Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics</span></li><li><span>Accurately complete and update maintenance records using SAP’s Plant Maintenance Module</span></li><li><span>Assist with identifying repairs, documenting short- and long-term needs</span></li><li><span>Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area</span></li><li><span>Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts</span></li><li><span>Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions</span></li><li><span>Comply with all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety policies and procedures</span></li><li><span>Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor</span></li></ul><p><strong><u>Education, Experience, and Qualifications:</u></strong></p><ul><li><span>5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or similar environment</span></li><li><span>Strong mechanical knowledge, including troubleshooting and repair of pumps, gearboxes, motors, chains, sprockets, pulleys, and belts</span></li><li><span>Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics</span></li><li><span>Skilled in welding, fabrication, and use of cutting equipment</span></li><li><span>Basic computer skills, including the use of email and maintenance</span></li><li><span>High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or training is a plus</span></li></ul><p><strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work <span>Monday - Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with occasional overtime based on production and maintenance needs.</span></li><li><span>Self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision.</span></li></ul><p><span><u>Physical Requirements:</u></span></p><ul><li><span>The ability to stand, walk, lift, and move for extended periods. Regular activities include standing, walking, using hands to handle or feel objects, reaching with arms, speaking, and hearing. Frequent actions include climbing or balancing, while occasional tasks may involve sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>The technician must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
