    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n <b>Position Summary:</b>&nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n Due to continued organizational growth and increasing regulatory complexity, the Environmental Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Penske’s commitment to operating in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n This position provides consistent, on-the-ground environmental compliance support to field operations and maintenance teams, ensuring corporate environmental programs are implemented effectively and consistently across all applicable operations.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n This role supports all Penske operational lines, including leasing, logistics, repair, retail, and customer on-site operations.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n The Environmental Compliance Specialist serves as a primary environmental resource for operations leadership and maintenance staff, supporting regulatory inspections, regulated waste and materials management, storage tank compliance, vendor coordination, training, documentation, and continuous improvement of corporate environmental programs.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n The position actively collaborates with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to support inspections, corrective actions, and ongoing compliance obligations.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n This position reports to the Environmental Compliance Manager in the Corporate Environmental Services Department. The role is based in North Carolina and covers a defined regional area (including, but not limited to, North Carolina, South Carolina, parts of Georgia, and West Virginia). Frequent travel to Penske operational locations is required; a company-provided service vehicle is provided.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n <b>Major Responsibilities:</b>&nbsp;\n</div>\n<div>\n • Conduct routine environmental compliance site visits across assigned locations, evaluating hazardous waste management, storage tanks, stormwater conditions, and overall environmental controls.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Perform internal environmental compliance reviews in alignment with corporate audit and self-review programs; document findings and initiate corrective actions.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Support and attend regulatory inspections conducted by federal, state, and local agencies; assist with coordination, communication, and follow-up actions.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Track, manage, and drive completion of corrective actions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Provide on-site guidance and environmental support to operations and maintenance teams, reinforcing proper handling, storage, and documentation practices.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Support environmental training efforts by reinforcing requirements in the field and assessing training effectiveness during site visits.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Assist with the implementation of new or evolving operational programs, including mobile maintenance operations, customer on-site locations, and facility startups or transitions.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Coordinate with environmental vendors, contractors, and consultants to support waste management, tank compliance, and other environmental activities.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Provide field support for environmental projects, including spill response, storage tank activities, stormwater controls, and environmental assessments.\n</div>\n<div>\n • Perform additional environmental duties and projects as assigned.\n</div>\n<div>\n <br>\n</div>\n<div>\n <span>\n  <div></div></span>\n</div>\n<div>\n <span>\n  <div></div></span>\n</div>\n<div>\n <span>\n  <div></div></span>\n</div>\n<div>\n <span>\n  <div></div></span>\n</div>",
