As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Origami, you will assist Physical Therapists (PT) in delivering high-quality rehabilitation services to our pediatric and adult clients. This involves providing one-on-one sixty-minute physical therapy sessions. PTs and PTAs communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure coordinated and effective client care. Our communication reflects Origami’s mission, vision, and core values, prioritizing inclusivity, timeliness, and effectiveness.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">This position is a dynamic role that will provide treatment at our Lansing-based campuses, including Origami Main in Mason, Origami Greenlawn in South Lansing, and Origami West in West Lansing.</span> The individual in this role must be flexible and adaptable, as the work location will vary based on organizational needs.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 600\">Benefits &amp; Rewards</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>No weekends or holidays</span></li>\n<li><span>Paid on the job training</span></li>\n<li><span>Join a diverse and caring team</span></li>\n<li><span>Employee Assistance Program</span></li>\n<li><span>Employer provided liability coverage</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties:</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Document, and assist in the implementation of treatment plans for pediatric and adult clients under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists and as prescribed by referring physicians.</li>\n<li>Educate staff, clients, and external stakeholders on prescribed home exercise programs and other physical therapy modalities as directed by supervising Physical Therapists.</li>\n<li>Adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines concerning program participants, both internally and when interacting with external individuals or agencies.</li>\n<li>Proactively assist in task initiation and completion, employing appropriate problem-solving techniques to support effective communication and resolve issues promptly.</li>\n<li>Document daily notes in a timely manner, ensuring comprehensive documentation for client records.</li>\n<li>Maintain caseload levels within reasonable limits as directed by the Physical Therapy Supervisor, ensuring quality care delivery and client satisfaction.</li>\n<li>Provide caseload coverage for PT services. </li>\n<li>Perform therapy gym maintenance duties such as cleaning surfaces, and laundry needs. </li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by the PT Supervisor.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements:</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Possess a valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Michigan   </span></li>\n<li><span>CPR, First Aid, AED certification (provided by Origami) </span></li>\n<li><span>Embraces and embodies Origami's core values:  </span>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Celebrate the Individual. </span></li>\n<li><span>Inspire Excellence. </span></li>\n<li><span>Serve with Integrity. </span></li>\n<li><span>Lead with Passion. </span></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferences:</span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Comfortable working with pediatric and adult populations</span></li>\n<li><span>Neurological rehabilitation education/experience </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span> </span></p>\n<p><span>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to palpate, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop kneel or crawl. Accommodated alternatives are acceptable if they accomplish the necessary essential tasks. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
