The candidate must have proven development experience with technical leadership qualities, effective communication skills and is a self-starter. In addition, the candidate must collaborate with other teams and individuals worldwide to quickly learn DDN products/technology/setup & configuration. The candidate must be able to leverage and integrate the monitoring, health-check and alerting aspects around the product.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>- Maintain, extend, and improve our FUSE module, and upstream changes as approporiate.</p>\n<p>- Design and develop in C/C++ under tight deadlines with minimal supervision</p>\n<p>- Define and articulate technical designs with the appropriate details</p>\n<p>- Full application development from design to development to testing to deployment</p>\n<p>- Participate in technical reviews throughout the course of development</p>\n<p>- Architecture and troubleshooting of system level components, especially the file system and related storage system components.</p>\n<p>- Undertake research based technical tasks: Define research approach, document results and Derive conclusions. Should be able to design a solution based on the research conducted</p>\n<p>- Mentor junior developers</p>\n<p>- Support product deployment and production defect resolution in a timely manner</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Requirements:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>- Accountable and highly motivated with solid people skills</p>\n<p>- 8+ years' experience system software development and complex problem resolution.</p>\n<p>- Expert knowledge of the following programming languages: C/C++</p>\n<p>- Excellent Linux development and deployment skills including but not limited to file system development.</p>\n<p>- Full understanding of OS principles and architecture of Kernel procedures.</p>\n<p>- Broad range of experience with open-source development toolchain like gcc, gdb, g++, git</p>\n<p>- Experience designing and developing parallel program</p>\n<p>- Good communication skills (verbal and written English).</p>\n<p>- Understanding of Linux Kernel File Systems</p>\n<p>- Knowledge of user space IO frameworks such as Fuse, SPDK</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Nice to have:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>- Strong understanding of RDMA network principles, libfabric, zero-copy, verbs, etc.</p>\n<p>- Knowledge of performance engineering.</p>\n<p>- Experience working with Scrum Agile</p>\n<p>- Experience of complex network programming, TCP/IP or RDMA.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary Range: $185,000 - $230,000</p>\n<h2>DDN</h2>\n<p>Join our dynamic and driven team, where engineering excellence is at the heart of everything we do.
