We hope you consider joining us!</p>\n<h2>Job Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong>Vice President of Property & Investment Accounting</strong> is an enterprise accounting leader responsible for the integrity, execution, and strategic oversight of accounting and financial reporting across Sage Hospitality Group’s investment entities, hotels, restaurants, and shared services platform.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role leads a multi-functional accounting organization spanning investment accounting, property-level shared services, and treasury/AP functions. The VP serves as a key business partner to executive leadership, ownership groups, lenders, and external advisors, delivering accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable insights to support a dynamic, growth-oriented hospitality platform.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Hospitality & Shared Services Accounting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead centralized accounting support for hotel and restaurant operations within a shared services environment.</li>\n <li>Ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability of property-level accounting processes and deliverables.</li>\n <li>Partner with operations leadership to align financial reporting with business performance and decision-making needs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Enterprise Accounting & Financial Leadership</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and financial reporting across investment entities, hotels, and restaurants.</li>\n <li>Ensure timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial statements, including consolidated and entity-level reporting.</li>\n <li>Provide financial analysis and insights to executive leadership to support operational and investment decision-making.</li>\n <li>Establish, maintain, and continuously improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Investment & Partnership Accounting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee accounting and reporting for real estate investment structures, including joint ventures, funds, and special purpose entities.</li>\n <li>Manage capital accounts, investor allocations, and waterfall calculations in accordance with operating agreements.</li>\n <li>Coordinate capital calls, distributions, and equity transactions.</li>\n <li>Support lender reporting, debt compliance, and financing activities.</li>\n <li>Partner with internal and external stakeholders on investment modeling, forecasting, and transaction support.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Treasury, Banking & Cash Management</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide strategic oversight of treasury operations, including banking relationships, cash management, and credit card processing.</li>\n <li>Ensure strong controls over cash disbursements, fraud prevention, and banking administration.</li>\n <li>Act as primary liaison with financial institutions and internal stakeholders on treasury-related matters.</li>\n <li>Identify and implement efficiencies in treasury and AP processes, systems, and structures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Tax, Audit & Compliance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax planning, compliance, and reporting, including K-1s and partnership returns.</li>\n <li>Serve as primary contact for external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and timely completion.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and internal policies.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Leadership & Talent Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting organization, including directors, managers, and shared services teams.</li>\n <li>Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and service excellence across the function.</li>\n <li>Oversee recruiting, performance management, and professional development initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Systems, Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and support system implementations, process improvements, and organizational scaling efforts.</li>\n <li>Standardize and document processes to enhance consistency, efficiency, and control.</li>\n <li>Partner cross-functionally on strategic initiatives, capital projects, and business transformations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as a key financial contact for ownership groups and external partners.</li>\n <li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.</li>\n <li>Lead or contribute to special projects, including new investments, entity structuring, and operational transitions.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leadership oversight of 20+ accounting professionals across investment accounting, treasury/AP, and shared services functions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Certification</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required</li>\n <li>MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership within real estate, hospitality, or multi-entity environments</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience managing complex organizational structures and investment accounting</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge & Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deep expertise in USALI, GAAP, partnership accounting, and financial reporting</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of hospitality and asset-based business models</li>\n <li>Experience with treasury operations, banking structures, and cash management</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret and apply legal agreements (operating agreements, loan documents, management contracts)</li>\n <li>Proven leadership and team development capabilities</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with executives, investors, lenders, and auditors</li>\n
