The VDC Manager leads the training, deployment, and standardization of Reality Capture workflows across the VDC department.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The VDC Manager will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities: <br></li>\n<li>Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues.<br></li>\n<li>Partner with Director of VDC and Lead BIM Manager, including local and remote support teams. <br></li>\n<li>Serve as first point of contact for all field and office personnel when scheduling VDC Technology.<br></li>\n<li>Responsible for successful deployment of VDC initiatives and VDC technology platforms.<br></li>\n<li>Supervise and direct VDC Specialists’ daily activities while providing ongoing training and support.<br></li>\n<li>Aid project personnel in implementing the VDC program activities on their projects through proactive training, support, and examples. <br></li>\n<li>Review construction schedules and develop aligned VDC schedules directly with field management. <br></li>\n<li>Collaborate with all project disciplines.<br></li>\n<li>Lead research and development of UAS technologies. <br></li>\n<li>Direct, assign, and supervise UAS tasks of other employees as needed.<br></li>\n<li>Stay abreast of new technologies related to reality capture and evaluate for potential business use. <br></li>\n<li>Develop documentation of UAS governance, standards, checklists, best practices, and hardware/software standards.<br></li>\n<li>Track annual Alston pilot licenses, hardware, and insurance compliance.<br></li>\n<li>Collect, process, analyze, and format imagery and point cloud data acquired from UAS or ground-based platforms.<br></li>\n<li>Lead research and development of 3D Scanning.<br></li>\n<li>Direct, assign, and supervise 3D Laser Scanning tasks of other employees as needed.<br></li>\n<li>Collaborate and assist Preconstruction on upcoming bids and pursuits. <br></li>\n<li>Identify and lead ways to apply technology to increase our value to the project team.<br></li>\n<li>Lead research and development of Robotic Layout. <br></li>\n<li>Direct, assign and supervise RTS Layout tasks of other employees as needed.<br></li>\n<li>Stay abreast of new technologies related to Robotic Layout and evaluate for potential business use. <br></li>\n<li>Develop documentation of Robotic Layout governance, standards, checklists, best practices, and hardware/software standards.<br></li>\n<li>Apply various other software and hardware applications to solve complex construction and engineering problems on projects.<br></li>\n<li>Present VDC services to potential clients, owners, and stakeholders as requested.<br></li>\n<li>Participate in strategic planning for VDC technologies.<br></li>\n<li>Maintain knowledge of developments in the field of technology through literature and attending conferences.<br></li>\n<li>Other related duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(72, 65, 63); font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or related field.   <br></li>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years of applicable experience working on data center construction projects.<br></li>\n<li>An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.<br></li>\n<li>Experience in: UAS, 3D Laser Scanning, LiDAR or Geomatics, imagery acquisition, photogrammetry, orthophotos and registration, 3D geospatial data, point clouds, development of digital models, Trimble Real</li>\n<li>Works, Recap Pro, Revit, Navisworks, and in utilizing Reality Capture Software.<br></li>\n<li>Proven experience successfully supervising others.<br></li>\n<li>Valid State-issued driver’s license and satisfactory driving record and vehicle insurance which meets Alston</li>\n<li>Construction liability coverage requirements.<br></li>\n<li>OSHA 10-hour Safety Certification.<br></li>\n<li>Possess a FAA Part 107 UAS License.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>Alston Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</em></p>",
