We are currently searching for highly qualified <strong>Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Specialists</strong> to support these projects. As one of our EHP Specialists, you will collaborate with some of the best and brightest in the industry and use your expertise to support critical recovery efforts in disaster-impacted communities. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to use their knowledge, skills and abilities to help disaster survivors at disaster recovery operation work sites throughout the United States and its territories. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>*Please note, remote work is not permitted for this role. This is a </em></strong><strong><em>non‑full‑time</em></strong><strong><em>, deployment‑based</em></strong><strong><em> on-call position across the United States. Team members are deployed to impacted sites as needed and may travel frequently on short notice. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.</em></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><em>Environmental and Historic Preservation (EHP) Specialist Responsibilities</em></strong><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>In this role, you will deploy to disaster sites to support FEMA or other government entities in the delivery of disaster recovery programs such as the Public Assistance (PA) program or the FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) Direct Housing program. </em><em>EHP Specialists may perform </em><em>environmental and historic preservation reviews for FEMA-funded projects, ensuring compliance with NEPA, NHPA, and other federal regulations and statutes.</em><em> They also may assist FEMA, local government agencies, and other entities </em><em>prepare EHP compliance documents such as resource evaluations, consultation letters, memorandums of agreement, categorical exclusions, and environmental assessments.</em><em> </em></p>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, preservation planning,  architecture, geography, history, archeology, environmental engineering, or a related field from an accredited university  </li>\n <li>Minimum of five years of full-time professional experience in field of study    </li>\n <li>Must have experience in the production and management of all levels of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review documentation.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must meet Secretary of Interior professional qualifications for archeology, architectural history, or historic architecture</li>\n <li>Must have experience in the development or management of Environmental Assessments.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be computer literate and proficient with MS Office Suite applications </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>The ability to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week while deployed to a disaster recovery operation for up to 12 months    </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Be a U.S. citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Skills and Experience</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Master's degree ion a related field from an accredited university</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Field Maps</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of the FEMA PA Program law, regulation and policy </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior FEMA PA experience as:an EHP Specialist</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of FEMA’s Grants Manager or Grants Portal  </li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p>*At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization. </p>\n<p>*This position is covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act of 1965 (SCA). </p>\n<p>*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
