Certification in dental lab technology or a related biotechnology profession is preferred but not required. Demonstrated Experience Established professional proficiency as a dental laboratory technician with comprehensive hands-on experience in multiple technical procedures Proven track record working with CAD/CAM applications in dental settings, specifically digital denture design, crown and bridge design Demonstrated intermediate-level expertise handling complex dental prosthetic fabrication projects independently Experience working in production environments with consistent delivery of quality dental appliances to precise specifications Proven Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Demonstrated expertise in intermediate to advanced dental laboratory procedures, including: Comprehensive understanding and proficient use of dental laboratory materials (impression materials, plasters, stones, hydrocolloids, waxes, metals, acrylics, porcelain) Skilled operation of specialized laboratory equipment (hand tools, dental lathes, engines, hand pieces, furnaces, casting machines, presses, flasks) with minimal supervision Independent handling of precision instruments (articulators, surveyors, microanalyzers) to produce consistent, high-quality results Established ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement solutions during the fabrication process Thorough understanding of dental anatomy and biomechanics as applied to prosthetic design This position serves the Dental Lab Tech Group at the Seattle VA Medical Center , which includes the need to work on export controlled products from the Federal Government. #LI-MP1 What You Will Bring Education and Training High School Diploma or GED required. Certification in dental lab technology or a related biotechnology profession is preferred but not required.
