Whenever accuracy, safety, security and reliability are critical, the solutions of Safran Electronics &amp; Defense leads the way.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Position: </span></p>\n<p>As a Software Test Engineer, you will primarily be working on our <a href=\"https://safran-navigation-timing.com/solution/timing-and-synchronization/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Timing Products</a>. You’ll be using your software testing expertise designing and maintaining both automated and manual tests that will assist in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction all the while working in a fun highly collaborative global environment. The position is onsite in Rochester NY at our West Henrietta location.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Day to Day: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working closely with other Software Test Engineers and Software Developers designing both automated and manual test cases on the latest GPS-based and alternative PNT equipment and software</li>\n<li>Testing new products, new features and software releases to ensure our products meet the highest standards and specifications</li>\n<li>Developing both automated and manual test cases from product requirements</li>\n<li>Developing automated tests using tools such as Python/Robot Framework &amp; Playwright/Selenium</li>\n<li>Using oscilloscopes, frequency counters, etc… to test embedded software systems</li>\n<li>Proficiently configuring network technologies - TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, and BGP</li>\n<li>Working cross-functionally with project teams to understand their needs to develop tests to resolve their problems</li>\n<li>Create and maintain traceability between test cases and requirements</li>\n<li>Participating in daily SCRUM/Kanban meetings</li>\n<li>Working with Customer Service to resolve field related issues</li>\n<li>Contributing to process improvement initiatives</li>\n<li>Working in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural environment with cross-functional global teams toward common goals</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What you Bring to Safran: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>BS Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information or related field</li>\n<li>Software testing, in an agile environment</li>\n<li>A minimum of 3-5 years' experience</li>\n<li>Experience with Test Management tools</li>\n<li>Experience with automation frameworks such as Python, Robot Framework a plus!</li>\n<li>Experience using AI tools and intelligent agents to improve testing workflows, streamline processes, and increase operational efficiency is a BIG plus!</li>\n<li>ISQTB certified is a nice to have</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively orally and written</li>\n<li>Ability to effectively collaborate in person and with remote global teams</li>\n<li>Ability to have fun!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Visit our <a href=\"https://safran-navigation-timing.com/navigation-and-timing/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website</a> for more information or check out our videos on <a href=\"https://www.youtube.com/@SafranNT/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube </a> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Safran Electronics &amp; Defense, you’ll combine passion for your job with a quality work environment adapted to a good life balance.
