    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Ajax Building Company is looking for a hands-on construction leader who thrives in the field and takes pride in delivering exceptional projects. As a Senior Superintendent at Ajax, you will lead day-to-day field operations, manage craft and subcontractor teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the high standards our clients expect.&nbsp;<br>The Senior Superintendent reports to and is directly accountable to the General Superintendent.</p><p style=\"line-height: normal;\"><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Hire, train, evaluate, and manage craft personnel in accordance with company policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Supervise and coordinate craft employees, subcontractors, and field operations to ensure work is executed per design, budget, and schedule.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Plan, organize, and oversee daily on-site construction activities, including manpower, materials, equipment, and sequencing.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Interpret drawings and specifications; provide technical guidance and recommend construction methods and equipment.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Support project management in developing and implementing project procedures, standards, and field documentation.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Interface with clients, inspectors, and trade partners to support successful project execution.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Enforce safety policies and procedures; promote a strong safety culture, document violations, and implement corrective actions in coordination with Safety leadership.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and overall project performance to meet contractual requirements.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Review and approve field-related transactions such as purchase requisitions and field change requests as applicable.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">Perform or oversee layout and field engineering activities.</li></ul><p><br><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">10-15+ years of relevant supervisory experience in the construction field.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Preferred:&nbsp;Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, and methods).</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Thorough knowledge of all safety requirements.</li><li>The ability to motivate employees and handle any situation that occurs on the project.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>Must have the ability to perform the following tasks:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Coordinate the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers with full use of hands, arms and fingers.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">See well (either naturally or with correction).</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding.</li><li style=\"line-height: normal;\">Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or work at any height.</li><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\">Lift and carry objects weighting up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.</li></ul><p><br><strong>ABOUT AJAX</strong></p><p>Founded in 1958, Ajax Building Company is a leading commercial contractor delivering complex, high-impact projects across the Southeast.
