    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB PURPOSE:</span></p>\n<p>The Patient Care Associate is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of persons<br>served/clients as they go through the rehabilitation process.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Answers patient calls and determines how to best assist them.<br></li>\n<li>Provides physical support for patients or residents with daily activities such as: turning or moving patients for<br>treatment of care, bathing patients, feeding patients, taking care of wounds and grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc.<br></li>\n<li>Documents patient’s food and liquid intake.<br></li>\n<li>Checks vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate for patients.<br></li>\n<li>Records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate as requested by staff.<br></li>\n<li>Observes patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.<br></li>\n<li>Ensures Universal Precautions and Safety Procedures of the center.<br></li>\n<li>Maintains confidentiality at all times and displays a professional disposition towards fellow staff.<br></li>\n<li>Brings policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.<br></li>\n<li>Gathers and stocks medical supplies for needed purposes.<br></li>\n<li>Cleans patient rooms and changes bed linens.<br></li>\n<li>Assists with some medical procedures such as UDS, Lab draws etc.<br></li>\n<li>Transports patients as needed.<br></li>\n<li>Other duties may be assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED SKILLS OR ABILITIES:</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health.<br></li>\n<li>Have the ability to communicate with the Case Manager and assist in ensuring the safety of the client.<br></li>\n<li>Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which is related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.<br></li>\n<li>Attention to detail and organization a must.<br></li>\n<li>Computer literate with experience in a Windows environment.<br></li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision<br></li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize work and work-related responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have High School Diploma or GED.<br></li>\n<li>Certified Nursing Assistant preferred but not required.<br></li>\n<li>Substance abuse experience preferred but not required.<br></li>\n<li>Current CPR/BLS/First Aid.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</span><br>Physical demands described are representative of those that must be routinely met by and employee to successfully<br>perform the essential duties of this position.
