Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000 (Commensurate with experience)

Position Overview
RTFNetwork is seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Mental Health Clinician to provide clinical leadership and oversight within the Outpatient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC). This full-time position requires an LCSW-C who is approved or eligible to supervise LMSWs, LGPCs, and LGADCs. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, expertise in mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, and a passion for developing clinicians and ensuring quality care. The Lead Clinician will balance supervision and administrative duties with a manageable caseload of direct client services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to OMHC staff and interns, ensuring compliance with COMAR, Joint Commission, and agency policies.
Supervise and mentor LMSWs, LGPCs, LGADCs, and LCADCs (or provide supervision under approved eligibility).
Support integration of mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services through evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
Conduct clinical documentation reviews, ensuring completeness, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Facilitate case consultations, clinical trainings, and team meetings to strengthen program quality and consistency.
Collaborate with the Clinical Director, department leads, and interdisciplinary staff to support quality improvement and program development.
Maintain a small clinical caseload to model effective, evidence-based therapeutic practices.
Contribute to performance improvement initiatives, staff development, and policy implementation.
Qualifications
Active LCSW-C in Maryland.
Approved or eligible to supervise LMSWs, LGPCs, LGADCs, and LCADCs.
Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of behavioral health clinical experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and co-occurring disorders.
Strong understanding of COMAR regulations, Joint Commission standards, and behavioral health documentation.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive care.
Preferred Skills
Experience in outpatient or community-based behavioral health settings.
Proficiency with TheraNest or similar EHR platforms.
Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and support clinicians in professional growth.
Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
$70,000 – $75,000 (based on experience)
