This role requires a broad skill set to manage complex machinery through the entire lifecycle of our process equipment from design through replacement..</p>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp; Experience</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer science, Automation Engineering, or a related cross functional degree with related experience in the field.</li>\n <li>Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, specifically with vacuum systems or semiconductor equipment preferred.</li>\n <li>\"Strong proficiency in trouble shooting, reading and interpreting electrical schematics, and technical documentation.\"</li>\n <li>Experience with a range of electrical components, from \"low-power logic circuits and sensor technology to high-power three phase power supplies.\"</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Skills</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Key Technical Skills &amp; Desired Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>LabVIEW Proficiency (Highly Desired):</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Strong programming skills in LabVIEW is a significant advantage in our existing hardware driven environment.</li>\n   <li>A strong understanding of LabVIEW development strategies and hardware integration and control systems is preferred.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Additional Technical Skills:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>\"Familiarity with various communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Modbus, RS-232/485) for device integration and networking.\"</li>\n   <li>Experience in programming and interfacing various manufacturing systems is desirable (i.e. Oracle with LabVIEW or Python).</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Safety</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Ensure all equipment adheres to safety standards (OSHA, NEC) and \"implement robust electrical safety protocols for high-voltage applications to protect personnel and equipment.\"</li>\n   <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Maintenance &amp; Repair:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Perform troubleshooting and repair of existing equipment, spanning low-voltage DC circuits, HMI, sensor interfaces, and computer systems to AC line voltage and high-voltage, three-phase power supplies.&nbsp;</li>\n   <li>Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Programming &amp; Control Systems:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Develop and maintain software for equipment control and automation. \"Responsibilities include designing, developing, and debugging software applications for control/automation of test and measurement equipment using LabVIEW.\"</li>\n   <li>Should know Python and C++</li>\n   <li>\"Experience with data acquisition using National Instruments-based hardware systems (DAQmx, cRIO, cDAQ, or PXI)\" is preferred.</li>\n   <li>Utilize programming skills for \"PLC programming and human-machine interface (HMI) development, ensuring intuitive and efficient operation of automated processes.\"</li>\n   <li>\"Develop software/firmware for microcontrollers and computer interfaces to manage process parameters, data logging, and safety interlocks.\"</li>\n   <li>Utilize AI to enhance systems and controls, reduce down time and analyze PM data trends</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Knowledge of \"vacuum technology systems, including pumps, gauges, and mass flow controllers, and thin-film deposition principles (PVD/CVD) to optimize equipment functionality\" is a plus.</li>\n   <li>Ensure all equipment adheres to safety standards (OSHA, NEC) and \"implement robust electrical safety protocols for high-voltage applications to protect personnel and equipment.\"</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><strong>Equipment Design &amp; Development:</strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Design and build new electrical systems for bespoke manufacturing equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.</li>\n   <li>Develop detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions for new and modified equipment.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work in a demanding manufacturing environment, including cleanroom settings.</li>\n <li>\"Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in tight spaces to access equipment components.\"<strong><u>ements</u></strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
