As a Mobile Crisis Specialist, you will work as part of a police-based team, which includes partnering with a police officer to respond to behavioral health crises in the community. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with community partners, families, and other involved parties.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform assessments and crisis intervention, including de-escalation, crisis planning, implementation, and treatment plans.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Effectively communicate clients&rsquo; needs while making internal agency or community referrals.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform a diagnostic assessment</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Perform an&nbsp;on-scene&nbsp;assessment and treatment plan</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Educate individuals about mental health, substance abuse, available community resources, and the agency&rsquo;s services.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Complete documentation in an accurate and thorough manner.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Competently make decisions about the need for an emergency petition and/or alternative psychiatric evaluation</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Ability to complete an emergency petition and educate any&nbsp;appropriate party&nbsp;on the process</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Be able to address population of child, adolescent, adult, dual-diagnosis,&nbsp;co-occurring&nbsp;and elderly</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Demonstrate a working knowledge of the medical implications when working&nbsp;with substance abuse consumers</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Work with families and involved persons to de-escalate the situation, make a crisis plan, and enlist cooperation with recommended treatment</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide&nbsp;accurate&nbsp;clinical information to family and involved persons related to recommendations&nbsp;and possibilities for treatment</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Work in a professional and collaborative way with police, fire and other community agencies when asked to do so.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide consultation and coordination to ER&nbsp;staff, if&nbsp;ER evaluation is necessary</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Appropriately and effectively document clinical and non-clinical information,&nbsp;regarding&nbsp;consumers, using CRS procedures</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Participate in and&nbsp;complete all required trainings</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide education in the community about the agency and all components of CRS when needed</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Check work e-mail and EMR according to agency protocol</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Abide by all Federal,&nbsp;State&nbsp;and local confidentiality regulations&nbsp;(ie: HIPAA, 42CFR Part 2,&nbsp;etc)</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Comply with&nbsp;all mandatory reporting and duty to warn, according to Federal,&nbsp;State&nbsp;and local regulations</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>What We Require:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Master&rsquo;s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field of study.</strong></li><li style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold;\"><strong>Current licensure in the State of Maryland (LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, or LCPC).</strong></li><li style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: 16px;\">A valid driver&rsquo;s license and current automobile insurance.</li><li style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: 16px;\">You will be required to work one (1) summer and one (1) winter holiday per year.  </li><li style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: 16px;\">You will also be required to attend the Mandatory Safety Training Day once a year, which you will be given ample notice of in order to plan appropriately.  </li><li style=\"font-family: initial;
