Occasional overtime and night shifts for snow removal and special events may be required.</p><p><strong>Who we are:</strong></p><p>Co-op does business differently and we are truly local.&nbsp; As a co-operative, we believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth.&nbsp; To learn more about who we are and how you can help bring our brand to life, visit us at&nbsp;<a href=\"http://www.northcentralco-op.crs/\" target=\"_blank\">www.northcentralco-op.crs</a></p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><p>The Maintenance Worker will perform maintenance and repairs related to buildings, grounds and equipment in relation to, but not limited to, emergency lighting, window cleaning, seasonal sidewalk maintenance, site inspections, grounds-keeping and pressure washing at North Central Co-op locations.</p><ul><li>Ensure buildings and equipment meet all safety, security and fire regulations and policies.</li><li>Establishes, monitors and carries out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment and grounds.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections of location premises and equipment.&nbsp;</li><li>Conduct routine repair and preventative maintenance to all carwash locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Under the guidance of the Facilities Manager, perform repairs such as light carpentry, changing light bulbs/ballasts installing switches, interior/exterior painting, replacing sinks and toilets and applying finishing material such as linoleum and completing compressor oil changes.</li><li>Support other maintenance staff and departments by delivering and picking up BBQ trailer, skid steers, scissor lift, picking up parts and delivering them to site locations.</li><li>Snow removal and landscaping duties.</li><li>Partner with our Health, Safety and Wellness Specialists and Asset Protection Specialist to ensure compliance with building safety codes, fire plans and other regulations.</li></ul><p><strong>Why it matters:</strong></p><p>Unlike traditional businesses, we're owned by our members—the same people who use our products and services. We believe that our success should be shared, and we work hard to create value for our communities.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who you are:</strong></p><ul><li>Post-Secondary education in a technical field or related training/experience will be considered.</li><li>Facilities maintenance and grounds-keeping experience.</li><li>Skid Steer training would be an asset.</li><li>Technical ability to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components and reading technical manuals.</li><li>Ability to make quick decisions and change priorities.</li><li>Physically able to lift up to 50lbs and work on feet for long periods of time.</li><li>Able to provide a current drivers abstract in good standing.</li><li>Strong time management skills.</li><li>Good problem solving and communication skills.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Our Team Members receive competitive wages and an employer-contributed pension plan as well as recognition programs for service.
