    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Serve as Lead Structural Engineer (SE) to provide conceptual and detailed design of data center structures</span></li>\n <li><span>Performing structural design and analysis using RISA 3D, in accordance with applicable design standards (lifting, transport and installation load cases)</span></li>\n <li><span>Performing design of structural steel connections (bolted and welded connections, lifting points, anchoring points, etc.)</span></li>\n <li><span>Create designs which meet or exceed Vertiv quality requirements and fall within budgetary requirements</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide a detailed Schematic Design(SD), Detail Design(DD) and Construction Drawing(CD) narrative for structural design aspects of the solution</span></li>\n <li><span>Review and approve structural product submittals.</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinate with Architectural Engineer on thermal transfer calculations (fire ratings and thermal bridges)</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensuring model, drawings and calculation accuracy through internal quality control and design reviews</span></li>\n <li><span>Detailed design of foundation requirements</span></li>\n <li><span>Manage and coordinate contracted engineering companies regarding civil work calculations, mechanical and structural calculations and creation of factory documentation.</span></li>\n <li><span>Work with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with federal, state and municipal building codes and regulations</span></li>\n <li><span>Material specification – structural and finish</span></li>\n <li><span>Work with Vertiv’s business units, Business Partners and preferred vendors to specify the appropriate material specifications and sizes for the fabrication process to succeed.</span></li>\n <li><span>Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during construction phases.</span></li>\n <li><span>Welding procedure and inspection specification</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide Nondestructive examination (NDE) methods specification</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide Surface preparation and painting specification</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop and provide Dimensional test procedure</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop and provide structural load test procedure and calculation</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordination between architectural and civil work design</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide technical project coordination with customers and suppliers</span></li>\n <li><span>Quality control during execution</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide support for all on site module repairs (damaged paint, door malfunction etc.)</span></li>\n <li><span>Work with fabrication teams to properly check and validate construction process, welding specifications and weld inspection points during construction of the module.</span></li>\n <li><span>Travel to fabricators facility for design validation and review their workmanship as well as provide engineering evaluations and workmanship audits as needed.</span></li>\n <li><span>May communicate with the customer to design the best possible solution for his needs.</span></li>\n <li><span>Offer creative, out of the box solutions to the customer.</span>.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS</p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s Degree/ Master’s Degree in Structural (Civil) Engineering</span></li>\n <li><span>Professional engineering (PE) License – preferred</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience</span></li>\n <li><span>Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations, building codes, and industry standards</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with structural steel design and connection design&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Familiarity with lifting/transport design and temporary load conditions</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficiency with structural analysis tools (RISA 3D preferred)</span></li>\n <li><span>Working knowledge in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit</span></li>\n <li><span>Proven experience with Microsoft Office Applications</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with data center or industrial structural projects</span></li>\n <li><span>Must be able to interpret customer specification requirements</span></li>\n <li><span>Must have the ability to research new designs, technologies and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to think outside the box to find creative and innovative solutions to reduce costs with no impact on quality, reliability or maintainability.</span></li>\n <li><span>Must possess
