    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Steampunk</strong> is looking for you to join our team as a <strong>Senior Test Engineer</strong>. You will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud and data systems development. </p>\n<h2>Contributions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers  </li>\n <li>Meet with product design team to determine testing parameters </li>\n <li>Write test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products </li>\n <li>Manage test data architecture definition and requests </li>\n <li>Troubleshoot errors and streamline the test procedures </li>\n <li>Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results, including three or more of the following: Data validation testing, Functional testing, Performance and load testing, Usability testing, Accessibility (508) testing</li>\n <li>Establishing manual and automated testing tools</li>\n <li>Provide validation testing of different system and data sets for cloud migrations </li>\n <li>Develop automated testing scripts considering parallelization and idempotency </li>\n <li>Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes  </li>\n <li>Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats </li>\n <li>Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended </li>\n <li>Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations  </li>\n <li>Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize testing software systems </li>\n <li>Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools. </li>\n <li>Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided </li>\n <li>Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members. </li>\n <li>Act as an individual contributor and mentor to more junior team members </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in an IT-related field</li>\n <li>Proven experience of leading the deployment of enterprise and custom Software solutions in client environments </li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors/stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process and/or technical problems </li>\n <li>Proven experience growing and selling while delivering </li>\n <li>5 Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket </li>\n <li>5 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages </li>\n <li>5 Years of application DevSecOps Experience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environment </li>\n <li>Experience utilizing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes </li>\n <li>5 Years of Experience implementing test automation, using tools such as Selenium, Appium, Soap UI, RestAssured, Postman </li>\n <li>3 Years of Experience with performance and load testing </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Preferred:</strong> </li>\n <li>Certifications: </li>\n <li>CAST (Certified Associate in Software Testing) </li>\n <li>International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) Certification </li>\n <li>Certified Manager of Software Testing (CMST) </li>\n <li>DHS Trusted Tester Certification (TTv5) </li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills </li>\n <li>Experience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About <strong>steampunk</strong></h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. Annual salary is just one aspect of Steampunk’s total compensation package for employees.
