We are seeking a Per Diem Pathologist to join our family in West Long Branch, NJ. Join NY and NJ&#39;s Premiere Gastroenterology Organization, in our state-of-the-art Lab! To learn more about Allied Digestive Health, click the link below:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">https://allieddigestivehealth.com/</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Summary: Responsible for efficiently, effectively, and accurately examining and diagnosing surgical specimens in compliance with CLIA/CAP guidelines and other applicable regulations.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The shifts are 8 hours in length, M-F.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This is a high-volume lab!</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Key Responsibilities</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Review and interpret surgical pathology, cytology, and/or hematopathology specimens as assigned.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Render accurate and timely diagnoses in accordance with established quality standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare and finalize pathology reports within required turnaround times.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consult with physicians and healthcare providers regarding diagnostic findings and patient management.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, accreditation, and laboratory standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide guidance and support to laboratory personnel as needed.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Document findings and maintain records in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Qualifications</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Board Certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Active and unrestricted medical license in the applicable state(s).</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated expertise in pathology diagnosis and reporting.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication and collaboration skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work independently and efficiently in a per-diem setting.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Schedule</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Per diem/as-needed coverage.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Flexible scheduling based on organizational needs and candidate availability.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Essential Responsibilities:&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accurately signs out and reads slides of Pathology cases.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Follow ALL Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures and policies</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prioritizes successful completion of STAT cases. Notifies clinicians of STAT and malignant cases</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Effectively organizes daily workflow to meet established TAT and productivity standards</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Meet Turn-Around-Time expectations of 90% cases signed out within 24 hours from the moment the cases are ready to the Pathologist for interpretation.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">For any delays in TAT, the Pathologist will notify management and the Medical Director.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Notifies Medical Director about all delayed cases.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bring all case errors to the attention of the Medical Director and Lab Manager to facilitate investigation and proper handling of the correction of errors.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Accurately follows the addendum, corrected, and amended reports process</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Check all internal ADH communications daily, including gGastro and ADH email. *</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reviews malignant cases, dysplasia cases, and borderline or complex cases with peers on a needed basis. Case(s) should be reviewed within 1-2 days from when the case(s) is provided for review by the original Pathologist.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Performs monthly QC on the computer in a timely fashion. Cases for QC are distributed weekly and must be completed by the end of the month.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicate with laboratory staff in writing all requests for stains, consults, or any updates/changes that need to be done on a case clearly and concisely.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Certificates &amp; Licenses: Certification in anatomic and clinical pathology or anatomic pathology, by the American Board of Pathology or American Osteopathic Board of Pathology, or possess qualifications equivalent to those required for certification;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Supervisory responsibility: None&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">THIS ROLE IS NOT BENEFIT ELIGIBLE</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">MALPRACTICE WILL BE INCLUDED</p>\n",
