    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Amtrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, is seeking a Senior Claim Specialist within our Construction Defect division. The successful candidate will directly handle Construction related claims. The successful candidate will evaluate coverage issues and risk transfer opportunities as well as ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, and proper negotiation strategy is employed. This position reports to a line of business executive.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Identifying construction defect claim exposures and ensuring timely and accurate reserves</li>\n <li>Assessing insurance coverage issues and opportunities for risk transfer</li>\n <li>Ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, proper negotiation strategy is employed.</li>\n <li>Proficiently communicate claim exposures both internally and externally</li>\n <li>Primary role in developing effective claims resolution strategies for optimal outcomes</li>\n <li>Role may involve occasional travel for mediations, trials, and related meetings</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ years of experience handling Construction Defect commercial liability claims</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills necessary to navigate our digital claim filing system</li>\n <li>Possesses a high level of technical claim and legal knowledge and skills.</li>\n <li>Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities</li>\n <li>Ability to professionally interact at a high level with parties both internal and external to AmTrust.</li>\n <li>Easily adapts to changing situations requirements or priorities.</li>\n <li>Ability to effectively influence others without damaging relationships.</li>\n <li>Skillful negotiator.</li>\n <li>Home state adjuster license preferred.</li>\n <li>CPCU designation/AIC certification preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>The expected salary range for this role is $89,000-136,000 annually</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
