    "description": "<h2>Why This Role Is Critical</h2>\n<p>The Duke Outage Support Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of steam generator services during Duke Energy outages by providing leadership, coordination, and direction across key support functions. This position helps maintain schedule adherence, safety standards, and operational efficiency during time-sensitive outage periods where delays can significantly impact plant operations and costs. By serving as a central point of coordination, the role ensures teams, resources, and processes are aligned to deliver high-quality service. Outside of outage periods, this position continues to strengthen the steam generator group by supporting other operational functions, ensuring continuity, knowledge sharing, and readiness for future outages. </p>\n<h2>What You’ll Do Day-To-Day</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Installs, troubleshoots, assembles and disassembles, repairs and maintains tooling and equipment at plant sites; may include equipment associated with refueling, inspecting and maintaining nuclear reactors and components.  </li>\n <li>Conducts routine and non-routine field tasks, operates specialized equipment, takes measurements, extracts and compiles data regarding equipment and process performance.  </li>\n <li>Develops calculations, tables, reports and related data; maintains maintenance logs and certification documents.  </li>\n <li>Assists with the development of procedures required to perform equipment maintenance and operation.  </li>\n <li>Participates in planning and executing projects.  </li>\n <li>May provide input to training materials and may conduct training, as needed.  </li>\n <li>Complies with all applicable safety and health rules including personal dose compliance.  </li>\n <li>Works flexible hours and shifts, as required, to ensure timely service.  </li>\n <li>May require extensive travel to a variety of regional and remote job sites.  </li>\n <li>May/Will require unescorted nuclear site access.  </li>\n <li>Technical certifications to be acquired: Tool Technician:  Two additional tool technician certs; Operator:  Must complete NDE117.2, NDE1150.5, NDE1320.2, NDE1110.4 or RAN100.2; NDE Technician:  Must record all experience gained and become LVL I in at least one discipline. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent education</li>\n <li>Minimum of 4 years of related experience and NDE Technician I Sr requisites* is required.   </li>\n <li>*NDE Technician I Sr requisites met: NDE111T.4 Bottom Up Tool Technician; NDE115T.5 USA Blade Technician; NDE132T.2 Underhead Manipulator Technician; PLT200.2 Steam Generator Primary Platform Technician ; PTRPLGT.0 Plugging Tooling Engineer; RAN110.1  Ranger Platform technician.</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of commonly used equipment, practices, procedures and concepts in a particular field.  </li>\n <li>May require specific nuclear reactor plant maintenance qualification training and certification.  </li>\n <li>Knowledge of company and industry safety and health policies and programs, as required for specific roles.   </li>\n <li>Good communication skills to comprehend, follow direction, convey detailed technical data and work effectively with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Total Rewards Package</h2>\n<p><strong>Total Rewards Package          </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Salary:</strong> $27.60 - $36.20 per hour, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline.
