    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Responsibilities of a Group Home Supervisor:</strong></p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p><p>The Group Home Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and safeguarding the well-being of consumers in the group home setting. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating activities, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for individuals with unique needs. The Group Home Supervisor works closely with consumers, their families, and support agencies to promote independence, personal growth, and a high quality of life.</p><p><strong>Group Home Location:</strong></p><ul><li>Macomb County, MI</li><li>Hybrid schedules or working from home are not available options. The employee&rsquo;s physical presence in the home is a crucial service we provide to our consumers.</li></ul><p><strong>Work Schedule:</strong></p><ul><li>This is a full-time position.</li><li>Applicants must be available to work afternoons of 3pm - 11pm or 4pm - 12am</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong></p><p>1. Leadership and Supervision:</p><ul><li>Provide leadership and guidance to a team of direct support professionals.</li><li>Supervise and train staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support services.</li><li>Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.</li></ul><p>2. Consumer Care and Support:</p><ul><li>Assess the needs of consumers and develop individualized care plans.</li><li>Oversight of consumer medical needs and medication compliance.</li><li>Coordinate and implement programs that promote consumers&#39; physical, emotional, and social well-being.</li><li>Monitor and document consumers&#39; progress and address any challenges promptly in the consumer&#39;s electronic health record.</li></ul><p>3. Safety and Compliance:</p><ul><li>Check compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Maintain a safe and clean environment, addressing any potential hazards.</li><li>Oversee emergency preparedness and response procedures.</li></ul><p>4. Communication and Collaboration:</p><ul><li>Establish effective communication channels with consumers, their families, and external service providers.</li><li>Collaborate with case managers, healthcare professionals, and social workers to address consumers&#39; needs.</li><li>Act as a liaison between the group home and relevant community resources.</li></ul><p>5. Budget Management:</p><ul><li>Assist management with financial resources at the program level.</li><li>Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure fiscal responsibility.</li></ul><p>6. Training and Development:</p><ul><li>Facilitate training sessions for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.</li><li>Stay informed about best practices, industry trends, and relevant regulations.</li></ul><p>7.
