    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>An adjunct in anatomy or basic sciences is responsible to teach is responsible to teach in the lecture and/or laboratory setting. Adjuncts are assigned to provide instruction in a portion of the curriculum for which they have suitable training and experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The following outlines the basic responsibilities of this position. Other duties are to be assigned as necessary. </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepare and deliver lectures or laboratory lessons on assigned topics </li>\n <li>Participate in assessment of student performance through appropriate examination methods as assigned </li>\n <li>Promote an appropriate atmosphere for student education and be responsive to students' needs </li>\n <li>Serve on TouroCOM committees as assigned. </li>\n <li>Provide reports, budgetary information, and other documents as requested by department chairs, directors, and deans </li>\n <li>Advise and mentor students </li>\n <li>Participate in medical student admission interviews</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Preparation, and Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate level degree (Master’s or Doctoral) in any of the topics mentioned in the job responsibilities section.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in the following areas: Relevant content expertise, research techniques, instructional design, delivery and assessment, course management, psychometrics/statistics, learning theory, public speaking, effective communication, conflict management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic computer skills supporting the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically</li>\n <li>Experience with Learning Management Systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>",
