    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Stewart & Stevenson is Now Hiring Compressor Shop Technician III at 1631 Chalk Hill Road Dallas, TX 75212. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for diagnosing problems and performing complex and/or major mechanical repairs in a shop environment on customer's equipment.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose all problems with customer's equipment.</li>\n <li>Identify and order parts necessary to complete repairs and routine maintenance.</li>\n <li>Perform complex and/or major repairs on customer's equipment. Replace parts and equipment as necessary.</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.</li>\n <li>Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Assist lower-level Technicians in completing work assignments as necessary.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n <li>Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.</li>\n <li><p>Work will be done in the shop and field as required. </p></li>\n <li><p>Must have experience and tools for troubleshooting and repairing portable and stationary compressors, both electric-motor and diesel-engine driven. </p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to read and comprehend electrical wiring diagrams, pneumatic schematics, and troubleshooting and repair publications. </p></li>\n <li><p>Will be tasked with working on most compressor brands including, but not limited to, Atlas Copco, Sullair, and Doosan. </p></li>\n <li><p>Will be required to work with limited supervision. </p></li>\n <li><p>Must be well organized, attentive to details, self-motivated, able to work with others and communicate well with customers, able to use diagnostic software, familiar with computers and Microsoft apps (e.g., Word, Excel)</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li>\n <li>Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<h1>Education/Experience:</h1>\n<p>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required, and three to seven years related experience required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<p>Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certificates & Licenses:</strong></p>\n<p>Compressor Manufacturers’ certifications a plus</p>\n<h2>Other Requirements</h2>\n<p>Must have hand and/or power tools to perform job function. Knowledge of installation of compressors required. Electrical and mechanical skills and knowledge required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities & Requirements: </strong></p>\n<p>Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) Sense of Smell</p>\n<p>Sense of Touch</p>\n<p>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the position, location, and/or customer.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<p>Work outside as well as in a shop environment.
