Join our team in Richmond, TX to build a career that touches lives.</p>\n<p>Benefits (if applicable):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Affordable medical, dental, and vision plans are provided to meet the needs of full employees and their families</li>\n <li>Up to 16 days of PTO for full-time employees</li>\n <li>6 paid holidays for full-time employees</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan</li>\n <li>Flexible spending and health savings accounts</li>\n</ul>\n<p>What you will do:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Observe and maintain a safe environment through regular patient checks, safety monitoring, contraband searches, and one‑on‑one supervision as needed.</li>\n <li>Perform delegated tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, documenting care, assisting with group education, and monitoring patients.</li>\n <li>Promote a positive therapeutic milieu and accompany patients to meals, breaks, off‑unit visits, and appointments.</li>\n <li>Report all medical or psychiatric changes to the RN and assist with admissions, including belongings inventory and vital signs.</li>\n <li>Document patient property at admission and discharge and conduct unit safety checks each shift to ensure a clean, therapeutic environment.</li>\n <li>Encourage or assist patients with activities of daily living and facilitate or co‑facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups using established guidelines.</li>\n <li>Apply crisis intervention and de‑escalation techniques as needed and maintain knowledge of program protocols.</li>\n <li>Orient new staff members to the unit, document in the medical record according to policy, provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team, comply with OSHA and CDC specimen guidelines, and perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>What we're looking for:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health‑care facility with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients preferred.</li>\n <li>Certifications: CPR and de‑escalation certification required within 30 days of hire.</li>\n <li>Will require valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal or hospital owned vehicle.</li>\n <li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>EEOC Statement</p>\n<p>Westpark Springs is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
