2026 Internship: Automation Engr. Intern (Troy, MI)

What awaits you: Evaluate existing production equipment layouts and identify opportunities to optimize and downsize footprint to improve space utilization and efficiency Analyze and implement strategies to reduce costs associated with moving Blow Molding Machines (BMMs) between plant locations Support the regional NA Automation Team in their various task regarding automation Supporting commissioning or troubleshooting activities of equipment Inspection of issues in production and working out solutions based on programmable logic controller Be part of a team developing and implementing robot applications to replace manual, unergonomic repetitive work Use data acquisition to provide insights on production lines and equipment using an IOT platform and analytic tools Kautex is a global company with over 30 plants in 13 countries.
