Fee For Service Clinical Social Worker - Consultation Center
University Settlement partners with 40,000+ New Yorkers in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn every year to build on our collective strengths as we achieve healthy, stable, and remarkable lives. Joining with our neighbors to make stable foundations where people of all ages can grow and pursue their dreams, we build community strength. We infuse a commitment to civic engagement, equality, and communal action into each of our programs, which include early childhood education, youth development, healthy aging, mental health and wellness, English classes for adult immigrants, community centers, and the arts.
The Consultation Center is University Settlement’s Article 31 outpatient mental health clinic that has served children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 65-years.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood
Conduct pre-admission screenings/intake assessments
Implement case management treatment plans
Provide therapy and assessments in office and using TeleHealth
Maintain reports, administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards insure requirements and program policies
Responsible for meeting set productivity benchmarks
Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals, as necessary
Advocate for patients with other community-based organizations and governmental agencies, as indicated
Conduct offsite visits as stated by the State Office of Mental Health
Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings
Learn and utilize computerized treatment and billing programs
Demonstrated ability to engage new and challenging cases
Function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
Other duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community
Qualifications:
MSW required
LMSW or LCSW certification required
Two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with time limited treatment approaches
Experience with treating children preferred
Bilingual skills in English/Mandarin/Cantonese or English/Spanish preferred
Work Schedule: Per Diem, Flexible schedule - Late afternoon/even hours, 10 hours per week, Hybrid

We infuse a commitment to civic engagement, equality, and communal action into each of our programs, which include early childhood education, youth development, healthy aging, mental health and wellness, English classes for adult immigrants, community centers, and the arts. \\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nThe Consultation Center is University Settlement’s Article 31 outpatient mental health clinic that has served children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 65-years.\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nResponsibilities: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tProvide individual, group, and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, in-sight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging in age from 5 years through late adulthood\\r\\n\\tConduct pre-admission screenings/intake assessments\\r\\n\\tImplement case management treatment plans\\r\\n\\tProvide therapy and assessments in office and using TeleHealth\\r\\n\\tMaintain reports, administrative and clinical records in accordance with OMH/DOH&MH standards insure requirements and program policies\\r\\n\\tResponsible for meeting set productivity benchmarks \\r\\n\\tFacilitate intra/inter agency referrals, as necessary\\r\\n\\tAdvocate for patients with other community-based organizations and governmental agencies, as indicated\\r\\n\\tConduct offsite visits as stated by the State Office of Mental Health \\r\\n\\tParticipate in staff meetings, case conferences, training seminars and individual supervisory meetings\\r\\n\\tLearn and utilize computerized treatment and billing programs\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tDemonstrated ability to engage new and challenging cases\\r\\n\\tFunction as a member of an interdisciplinary team\\r\\n\\tOther duties deemed necessary by the Clinical Director pertaining to provision of effective services to patients and/or the community\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nQualifications: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tMSW required\\r\\n\\tLMSW or LCSW certification required\\r\\n\\tTwo years of clinical experience in a mental health setting preferred\\r\\n\\tExcellent oral and written communication skills\\r\\n\\tExperience with time limited treatment approaches\\r\\n\\tExperience with treating children preferred\\r\\n\\tBilingual skills in English/Mandarin/Cantonese or English/Spanish preferred\\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nWork Schedule: Per Diem, Flexible schedule - Late afternoon/even hours, 10 hours per week, Hybrid \\r\\n\\r\\n \\r\\n\\r\\nWe are committed to building a diverse and inclusive community.
