This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, cross-functional teamwork, and the challenge of shaping real industrial hardware in a fast-moving climate technology company. Responsibilities include: Design and support mechanical systems and equipment within defined subsystems for Electra’s process, utility, slurry, solids handling, and plant infrastructure systems. Develop layouts, general arrangements, piping details, equipment lists, and drawing packages for skids, pilot systems, plant tie-ins, and facility projects. Independently select and specify mechanical equipment within assigned scope such as pumps, tanks, valves, piping, filters, heat exchangers, supports, and material handling equipment. Translate process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and test objectives into practical mechanical designs for installation, operation, and scale-up. Partner with process, automation, electrical, structural, operations, maintenance, EHS, technicians, vendors, and contractors to deliver integrated plant solutions. Lead and support fabrication, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and field updates within defined scope for pilot and plant equipment.
