          "text": "<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p><strong>Critical Infrastructure Reliability &amp; Uptime</strong></p><ul><li>Own reliability and performance of all <strong>mission‑critical systems</strong>, including power distribution, substations, generators, UPS/CPS, cooling plants, process utilities, and life‑safety systems.</li><li>Establish and enforce global standards for <strong>redundancy, capacity management, maintenance, testing, and commissioning</strong>.</li><li>Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions for <strong>critical incidents, outages, or near‑miss events</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Governance, Standards &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul><li>Define and maintain <strong>global Critical Facilities Engineering standards</strong>, design guidelines, and operating procedures.</li><li>Own the <strong>critical facilities risk register</strong>, including single points of failure, deferred maintenance risk, and capacity constraints.</li><li>Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, OSHA, local AHJs, and internal governance).</li></ul><p><strong>Operations &amp; IFM Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Provide technical governance and performance oversight of <strong>IFM partners</strong> delivering critical facilities operations and maintenance.</li><li>Define SLAs, KPIs, and audit mechanisms for preventive maintenance, emergency response, and system availability.</li><li>Act as escalation authority for <strong>high‑risk operational decisions</strong> affecting uptime or safety.</li></ul><p><strong>Capital Planning &amp; Lifecycle Management</strong></p><ul><li>Own the <strong>long‑term capital roadmap</strong> for critical infrastructure upgrades, renewals, and expansions.</li><li>Partner with Finance and Facilities Leadership on <strong>CapEx prioritization, business cases, and risk‑based investment decisions</strong>.</li><li>Ensure assets are managed through full lifecycle planning, including end‑of‑life strategies and redundancy planning.</li></ul><p><strong>Projects, Expansion &amp; Commissioning</strong></p><ul><li>Provide engineering leadership for <strong>new builds, expansions, major retrofits, and capacity upgrades</strong> affecting critical systems.</li><li>Ensure rigorous <strong>design review, FAT/SAT, integrated systems testing (IST), and commissioning</strong> before turnover.</li><li>Approve deviations from standards based on documented risk assessments.</li></ul><p><strong>Business Continuity &amp; Emergency Preparedness</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with CREW and site leadership to ensure <strong>BCP, ERP, and emergency power strategies</strong> are robust and tested.</li><li>Lead readiness for utility failures, extreme weather events, and regional disruptions impacting critical infrastructure.</li></ul><p><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Capability Building</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and develop a global Critical Facilities Engineering function (directs and/or matrixed).</li><li>Establish training, certification, and succession planning for critical facilities expertise.</li><li>Serve as the internal <strong>subject‑matter authority</strong> for critical infrastructure decisions.</li></ul>",
